The Croation military is now getting the new VHS it appears to be a FAMAS to look at . If you can could you give us some information on this weapon. Such as can it be converted to be used by a left handed shooter and weapon attachment that can be fitted to it

found the answers here,

The ejection port is on the right side of the gun only, so firing it from the left shoulder can be problematic to say the least.
Iron sights are built into the large integral carrying handle, which also has several strong points for attachment of the Picatinny rails. Additional accessory rails can be attached to the forend of the rifle.

I know this is really off-topic but it has to be said, once and for all
Beta is and was always better than VHS, the only reason VHS became the standardized video format was because at that moment it had higher sales due to it being cheaper overall.
And yeah, I still have Beta! anyways, both are pretty much dead now anyways
/END OF OFF-TOPIC RANT, sorry Jango

Watch this video, and pause it at 7:03: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfarELLpa70 Some of the prototypes were direct impingement, but the production rifle appears to have a gas system similar to that of the SCAR. You can make out a long bolt carrier with the return spring coiled inside that sits against a small tappet. Here's the patent: http://v3.espacenet.com/publicationDetails/mosaics?CC=HR&NR=20080008A2&KC=A2&FT=D&date=20090731&DB=EPODOC&locale=en_EP

Also Croatia bought more than 2000 rifles for its army,short-version could probably be used in Croatian police. Some countries already showed interest for this rifle although still we haven't sell VHS to any country.Probably it will need more time to find its chance on international market because it's new rifle.I hope Croatia will be successful with VHS on international market the same as with HS-2000 and HS-XD.The rifle is really durable, very light and easy for handling ,only thing I personally don't like on this rifle is design. It looks very similiar to Famas although look doesn't mean anything.Rifle system inside the VHS is much better than Famas.
Also there are some stories that HS product could make some new version of VHS with different design, but I don't know much about that. You should ask someone with better informations what's going on with VHS.
