It's kinda eerie watching this knowing that the Japanese would invade within two years. And many of the buildings in this film were destroyed.

@3:30 - the vendors outside the church selling candles and whatnot, were mostly of Chinese descent. Now, they rule over us by controlling well maybe up to 90% of the successful business in the country.

The people then look decent. If only you could see how terrible it is now. Many of the structures and streets you see in the video still exists and I also pass it almost everyday. But in a much more terrible state.
