Well, after watching the 4 shows on this week, I think I enjoyed the last one the most which centered on law enforcement sniping. The military ones spent 90 percent of the time talking about revolutionary, civil war, and ww1 and 2 sniping and about 2 minutes out of the hour on modern sniping. There were 2 shows in the middle which focused on the British Royal Commando snipers and then the US military snipers. Although the British one had about 10 minutes worth, the US one had about 3 minutes which they kept recycling throughout the show.. what a waste of time. At least with the law enforcement one they had lots of footage and showed many different scenarios.

I only caught the last one (law enforcement). I almost laughed when I saw those two San Diego snipers stalking next to that curb in woodland BDU's with their drag bags. But hey, if it works, don't knock it. That was the first time I'd ever seen any motion footage of the Waco incident. I thought it was just a training video when that one ATF guy was shot while breeching the window. And then that couple who hijacked the bus claiming to be the witnesses of whatever...Showing them get shot multiple times. Almost couldn't believe it.

don't even get me started on Waco....perfect example of how our government is going to hell in a handbasket. That and Ruby Ridge made A LOT of people, including myself, question on how much power national law enforcement agencies should have. It was a disgrace and a horrible mistake...both of them.
Also...I saw the one about USMC Scout Snipers...i liked how they talked about the phsycological effects on killing someone in the sniper way. Very Interesting.
well i found it interesting about the waco thing that they said that the government forces involved, all of them, never fired a single shot at the compound. I think that says a lot. what it comes down to, is that if there are completely insane people inside, there's a very limited amount of options that you have. if they're determined to kill themselves, they're going to do it no matter what.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Waco still has a big question mark over it regarding the use of HRT and CAG who were there in a 'technical advisory' role. I've seen compelling material indicating use of unidentified specops 40mil rounds, pyrotechnic 40mil CS and flashbang rounds and spent casings in HRT sniper OPs where no rounds were logged as fired.
Add the comments by a former CIA SAD operator that he heard CAG's B Squadron bragging about being involved in the take down whilst he was serving with them in Somalia and I do start to worry. I wrote a fairly detailed account of the questionable aspects of the operation several years ago for a professional journal which I can forward to you if it's of any interest.

Well, one thing which I assume you agree with, is that those CS grenades couldn't have caused a perfectly spreading fire that would ungulf the whole place in a matter of minutes. It spread too fast and too evenly for something like that. In your searching around, did you come to the conclusion that the fast spreading fire was not caused by the self destructive branch davidians? That's what really matters...

Hi Hood
No I couldn't come to either conclusion although I never found anything to prove the DoJ theory that the fire was Davidian initiated. It did spread very quickly and reasonably evenly though as you state however this may well have been influenced by the huge amounts of CS residue in the flimsy, predominately wooden structure. Likewise the high winds on April 19 entered the building through entry ports caused by the CEV strikes. Whether by design or accident, I now think we will probably never know.
