Well, they bitched about anti-personel cluster bombs, what other anti-personel weapons are there?
As long as it didnt take out civilian targets, which it doesnt appears to have done, then i dont really care much... The iraqis all had a chance to surrender, those with half a brain did. THe rest, well, refer to Darwin's THeory of natural selection. p-)

The problem with cluster bombs is they have a failure rate that leaves brightly coloured bomblets lieing around the place that then have a habit of killing children after the fighting has stoped.

Opponents of the U.S. will never be happy with what the U.S. has. Whether its, cluster bombs, napalmn, depleted uraniun, or nuclear weapons. They'd all expect to only use only sidearms (http://www.nytimes.com/2003/08/11/opinion/11MON3.html?ex=1061179200&en=65b07eb82b39acb3&ei=5062&partner=GOOGLE) and to basically "hog-tied" the U.S. when confronting its enemies and an attempt to blunt its military might.
How about no munitions at all? That would be even safer, unless of course a civilian breathed the exhaust of a tank or humvee and then the greens would be all upset. War is to break things and kill people. That is why it is a last resort for civilized nations. The faster you break things the sooner the war is over and fewer people are killed. Get used to it.
Word to the wise: Just don't F*CK with us, unless you want hell unleashed in your backyard.

But Cluster Bombs and Uran Munition still Kills long Time after the War.
The Uranium even kills the GIs . Don't forget the Gulf War Syndrome.

Gulf War Syndrome has never had any signficant scientific support behind it. In any large group of people, there will be a certain number of unusual diseases, and the power of suggestion ("you know, if you also had this symptom, it would look like Gulf War Syndrome") can have a strong effect.
This article (http://reason.com/9703/fe.fumento.shtml) is the best I've seen as summarizing the questionable process by which Gulf War Syndrome gained notoriety. If you are wondering about whether it's real, you really should take a look.

Budinski,
I didn't serve in GWI, although a number of guys I work with (and have worked with) did. To the best of my knowledge none of them have GWS. The UK MoD has consistantly denied the existance of GWS (although it has recently increased war pensions for it).
The two most prevelant theories here are 1, DU exposure and 2, exposure to a a cocktail of innoculations. Most of the UK vets with GWS seem to be CS and CSS troops. Exposure to DU dust fits this, as teeth arms troops had little chance to clamber over/clean up AFV's destroyed with DU munitions. In my experience teeth arms are also more lairy of taking multiple jabs.
The same syndromes are also being seen in Balkans vets (the French and I think Italians have recognised it). I have seen the effects of lymphoma clusters in hospitals in both Bosnia and Kosovo in areas where DU was used.
I am sceptical (and do not believe many of the more fanciful reports, particulaly Maggie O'Kane's). But I am also sceptical of governments (mine and yours) who write off/cover up problems, for example nerve agent exposure to 'volunteers' (for common cold research) at Porton Down.

Chances are DU rounds had little to do with GWS, if anything. The brew of pollutants, petroleum and chemical agents that were filling the air is what probably caused it. We bombed iraqi positions assumming they were just soldiers with a cannon, but for all we knew the rounds they had had mustard gas in them, but from the air we didnt know, so then that gets into the air, plus the burning oil wells, and a whole bunch of other pollutants, and the harsh climate.
I think as long as they hit their intended targets Firebombs are alright; its instant destruction. The only thing that is just as good at fighting off fielded forces are CBU's, and those of course leave undetonated bomlets around, which could be a problem. After people bitched about us dropping those in Afghanistan, we hadnt much choice but to try something else. Napalm works fast, and if hits where its supposed to, its deadly effective, and it doesnt leave anything behind tat will exlpode if children pick it up.
not sure, but wasn't there a lotta voices telling that the cause for GWS was the anti-nbc cocktails the gi's got?
