WW2 German Feldpost Letters & photographs (TRANSLATION NEEDED!)

hey everyone i recently brought a lot of 4 WW2 german Feldpost letters with corresponding photos for three.

i am posting them all with envelope and letter on here because i cannot read them and i was hoping someone could translate them for me, My natural curiosity is killing me please help!

EDIT: The Feldpostnumber says that Private Weiß served in the 3rd Company of the Schützen-Regiment 113 (renamed to Panzergrenadier-Regiment 113 on 5th July 1942 in Russia)

3rd image all I can make out is "Feldpost" and then addressed to "Familie ..." (family)
4th image starts with "Meine Lieber" which should mean "My love"

8th image I think starts with "Jfr", which could be an abbreviation for "Jungfrau" .... Maiden (or virgin) (Misses)

Sorry, I speak German, but just like when you posted these last time, I can't make out what he's writing. Can't read the cursive.

Can you post some bigger images of the letters? My grandmother can read the old german language but i guess it´s a little bit to small for the old lady.

Panzermeyer, i will try to find a way of uploading them as a larger file and Evolv5 yea alot of people are finding it hard to translate them and it is very frustrating as i am itching to know what they say thats why i have reposted it as translation needed haha

Panzermeyer i just realized that you can get an extreme close up on here already, if you click the image so it comes up then again to take you to just the image alone then if your browser allows you to you can (put your cursor over the image it should have an magnifying (+) symbol there click the image and it will enlarge massively enough for your grandmother to read! would be amazing if i could get some translations thanks so much everyone for the help already!!!

Neubeckum is a part of Beckum. Neu means New, so Neubeckum means Newbeckum.

Seems like the letter is from the brother or father/son of the other letter... since the Feldpostnummer (fieldpost number) is different. Dunno...

Thank god its dying out. I think most of the handwriting is in Sütterlin which has a fatal flaw. Its god damn hard to read if written fast and not careful.

I "learned" Sütterlin for a year and it was interesting but thats about it.




Also its always fascinating how such letters end up on the other half of the world. Especially if there could still be some relatives around.

and yea it is interesting that it has ended up in Australia after all these years i have been wondering how it turned up here haha!

My dears!


For the letters #53 and 54 I thank you very much. That a package with meat arrived recently, pleases me. You don't need to send me the shirt. In June I'm looking forward to be dismissed, maybe I can be in Munich on Pentecost. The doctor told me nothing about my dismissal yet, but I feel that I already feel better. There won't be 5 weeks of vacation, like you said. Here, we only get 14 days convalescent leave and I don't think that there will be any more [days off] during the war, because they only stick to the regulations of the O.K.W. [Oberkommando der Wehrmacht; Supreme Command of the Armed Forces](?)
There are many who were dismissed, who didn't get vacation [...]

Barely could read the rest... couldn't translate it.
Hope I helped you a bit... maybe I can translate the other letters and maybe some other Germans could verify my translation or something else...

is the only reason, I have tome to write.
Just to let you know, why I

The cards from mother and the small
card I have received, and am thankful
for it. It was hot again and we
were sweating a lot! I can't write any-
thing about our training
but it is very interesting.
