If she has an Iranian citizenship I presume there is nothing that Netherlands can do for her.

Yes, they consider her Dutch citizenship an inconvenience if they even consider it anything. Terrible to see this happening, the Iranian community here are good people.

Don't know about how the Dutch handle these matters but in the Canada clearly states that if you're a citizen of another country you are subject to that country's laws, and your canadian citizenship can be unreconized.

As much as I disagree with the iranian government that woman was looking for trouble or was terribly ill informed.

1.Leave Iran ( immigration or refugee)
2.Come back with foreign passport (thinking she has diplomatic immunity?)
3.Start some **** by participating in anti-govt demonstrations

Iran is sending a message to all the activists with a dual nationality.

One can only hope that the Iranian people realize their greatness and hang the guardian council, along with taking back their country.

politics are always so very subjective, but there is no doubt that the islamic republic HAS to go one way or the other. They do not represent any elements of the persian culture or the very western orientated mindset of the people.
Best of luck to Zahra, i hope that her fate may be better than the many others who have been in the very same situation as her.

Even if she had not Iranian citizenship and committed crime on Iranian soil she would be judged according to Iranian law. Like in any other state.
