View Full Version : Tony Blair refuses to accept Bush's War Medal
Tony Blair has refused to travel to Washington to accept the Congresional Gold Medal from President Bush for the British governments support in Bush's Iraq war.
Tony Blair refuses to pick up the medal because he doesnt want to participate in Bush's pitiful attempts to gain support for his re-election bid while British and American troops are still being killed day by day in Iraq.
In addition, Blair doesnt want to do anything that may help Bush's re-election bid or show favor to one candidate or the other in these politically sensitive times.
In addition, Blair cannot afford to accept such an embarrassing offer from President Bush in light of growing British public discontent with Bush's war. According to some polls, a rapidly growing percentage of the British public view George Bush as a tyrant and warmongerer and Blair now must distance himself as much as possible from the American president and his war or fear of losing even more support at home.

Yeah, especially that part:
...because he doesnt want to participate in Bush's pitiful attempts to gain support for his re-election...
At first reading, I thought it was serious. :|
Then I got it. ;)

Another fine example of obd's desperation spilling over into the forum.
Squeal boy, squeal. rofl
yeah but the funny thing is that its still true. Blair is snubbing Bush because Bush is becoming a political liability for him..........
Bush is literally his own worst enemy.........and he is also Osama Bin Ladens new best freind.........
In fact, the only thing Osama Bin Laden needs to continue to grow support for his views within the 1.3 billion member Muslum world is for Bush to get re-elected.........In fact, Al Queda has already published in its numerous online journals such as Al Neda and others that is fervently wished all the best to George W. Bush in the next election!!!!!!
Even in his wildest dreams Bin Laden did not dare to hope the United States would do something as strategically idiotic and wasteful as launch a war in Iraq and create a failed state situation............But at that time Bin Laden did not yet fully understand the idiocy of Bush........Truly, Bin Laden must feel that Bush is a gift from Allah in accomplishing his self stated goal of " inspiring the mujahid of the Umah to take up resistance of all kinds against the Crusaders and Jews"........
Thanks to Bush, we have taken 1 step forward and 5 steps back in the war on terror..........One can only hope America is great enough to survuve such a horrid leader......We have so far for 4 long painful years..........one can only hope we dont have to endure him for another 4.......

What's wrong, numbnuts? You conservative folks can't take a few blows? Course, it's not hard to say that anything Bush does right now is trying to get this group or that group behind him for the election. Did you know that no President who's won a war has ever been re-elected? Course, the majority of you are too busy complaing about liberals this or some guy's movie to ever sit down and form a goddamn opinion of your own....frankly, after I saw the VP debate from the 2000 election, I wanted The VPs to form their own ticket and run...heck, I was willing to vote for Cheney if he ran for President....Trigger and Midtown, while you might not agree with what Odb's comments, welcome to the US where he's quiet free to say them as he pleases. Oh...just to annoy you folks http://www.dubyaspeak.com/

Where've you been?
'Take a few blows'? Try going on 4 years of 'blows' from idiots like obd. In case you've missed it, obd has exercised his 'rights' quite freely around here with no consequences other than making an ass of himself.
Funny, you guys always try to play the 1st Amendment card when someone tells you you're full of ****. His 'rights' weren't even being threatened.
Again, welcome to 2004.
