I was reading a thread here regarding military patches and that people should not wear them unless they have earned them.
I must say that I agree with that for the most parts (e.g. unit patches and tabs).

I've been searching for some time for a good site where one can order custom patches, but most of whom I have found have a minimum of 50 patches, but since we are only about 10-15 who would wear them, 50 patches are just a tit too many.

So my question is, you guys know of a good online firm that make patches on order?
And have fair prices as well, cause those who I've found where you can buy 10 patches, the total price would be the same as if I buy 50 from the cheapest source.

Stadri Emblems have a 12 piece minimum. They put out some quality products as well. Our fire department patches are from them and they are high quality. We also had the patches made into a window decal for our department vehicles or our personal vehicles.

Good luck.

I'd reccomend checking around locally at tailor shops. Normally they can do these type of things, maybe there might be somethign in town instead of over the net. We did ours for our airsoft team, cost us $75 bucks flat to have the machine prepared and then $10/patch after. Obvioulsy the more that are ordered the cheaper it becomes.

Thanks for the great info buckeyedoc.

ßå$tĮТHÏ¿ð: I've checked with the local tailer here and the prices you speak of are very much alike.

$70 USD prepare
$7-10 per patch

Think I'm gonna end up with getting it done locally

What is a good way to take a fully colored patch and get it subdued with out making it look butt ugly?

These are the guys that I used:

http://www.stegmancreations.com/patches.htm

They have no minimum, the setup fee was like $50 and then it was like $5-6 per patch. The price varries with number of colors, size of the patch and complexity of the design.

I designed it in MS Paint in full color, then changed the colors with the subdued colors. I also sent them one of the subdued flags that we use as a reference and they matched the thread colors pretty well. Here was the final patch:

Very nice work, if the local companies here dont have the subdued colors I will use one of the companies mentioned above.
