...Columbus, Georgia!!. Thats right boys and girls...HK will now be manufacturing (at least part) it's finest products right here in the US of A. THis is probably in response to politicians not wanting to award contracts to HK for the sole reason that it does not have a US manufacturing plant.

Oh, and if the name sounds familiar, it should. The plant will be adjacent to Ft. Benning.

*note: I personally think that the close distance between the proposed plant and the base would be greatly benificial to both the plant and the units stationed there.

Yeah Columbus has plenty of people. Don't know how many are unemployed...but i've been through the town several times and there'd be plenty of people. I HKs initial employee count will be around 200 (article in AJC few days ago). This will be moving their USA headquarters to Columbus too I believe.

Just a FYI, last I heard, this news is not official, atleast from H&K themselfs.

ft. benning-75th ranger reg.,3rd ranger bat., home of the infantry and airborne school and many more. could'nt be to better a place! well maybe fayetteville.
