First joint mountain climbing by Sino-Indian frontier defense troops to start

The reporter learned from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of National Defense of China that the frontier defense troops of the PLA and their Indian counterparts will kick off mountain climbing jointly in Pulan County of Tibet Autonomous Region tomorrow.
This is the first mountain climbing exercise jointly carried out by the frontier defense troops of the PLA and their Indian counterparts.
As the exercise will take place at high altitude area, all the participants are required to enjoy sound physical fitness.
The purpose of sponsoring this event is to enhance mutual understanding and trust, boost exchange and cooperation between the two armed forces and consolidate security and stability in the Sino-Indian border areas.
