QUESTION: Where can I get this? Is it goretex?

the snow camo i've worked with has always been a white cotton over pant and jacket. It is worn over some warmer and more waterproof material.

"parka is made from a lightweight, white nylon filament, water repellant treated cloth" Is goretex made of nylon?

Goretex is waterproof like nylon. Im also guessing goretex feels like nylon too. Just my "hypothesis" if you will HAHAHAHAA

Howdy

www.sportmansguide.com is selling off a set of new British snow camo suits for about $10.00 (plus shipping). Large only.

I guess that a white cotton oversuit is the same wherever you are, or get them from.

Here is the link:

Though the German suits feel a little bit heavier (and have the deep winter forest reversible pattern on the other side)

(I have absolutely nothing to do with the above mentioned store, etc, etc, etc.)

cheers

I forgot to mention something about the last link.

I once spent about three hours in the snow (through a forest) trying to travel fast wearing a similar snow "poncho" (off last link). Forget it. I fell a few times. Too many "feet in the poncho" and snow and really cold barrel in the face. :-)

I guess the poncho is for carrying in a pack and used to cover a hasty position.

http://shop.sportsmansguide.com/smg/cb/cb.asp?p=WX2&i=63996 the fabric seems quite thin dont you think? You would actually see a trace of your insulating 2nd layer of woodland nyco twill cold weather BDUs under them.. I wonder if thats the same stuff US military uses.. And their version doesnt look too good either
