FP are countermeasures designed to thwart the hostile intentions on our military. Lately, many posters have questioned this site's commitment to antiterrorism. Thus, here are some basic rules of FP.
1. Pictures and videos offer terrorists valuable insight on operations. Although faces maybe blacked out, the background may offer clues on the location of personnel.
For example, a terrorist in Canada views a pic or a video of a particular SOF travelling in the US. The terrorist may deduce the SOF's travelling route as soft, and plan for hostile action.
Recommendation: Pixel out unique features in the background.
2. Although the DoD releases SOF pics without blackouted faces and many independent news agency do not follow DoD PERSEC guidelines, its a good idea to do SOFs a favor and voluntarily rub out their faces. Remember news agencies reported several individuals posing as reporters went around SOF military base coummunities asking for "so and so".
3. DO NOT discuss military timetables such as ETD/ETA of ships, deployments...
4. DO NOT describe the interior of military installations.
For this site I think that covers it.
