I suggest in the future you post airsoft videos on an airsoft d-board. You don't have to be here long to realize that this is not an airsoft friendly area so please keep the board focused on military matters.

I'd watch some of u guys say about airsofters as a whole as there r people on this forum who r airsofter, including me.
The video can't really be taken seriously, I don't take it seriously. I just sat back and laughed at the poor "death acting".

no man, I just posted it because I thought people might find something to talk about it. Maybe discuss what type of Camos they are wearing, are they doing the assault properly, what they did wrong, g36 for CQB?.
Do you see Smilies, ROFL, LMAO, LOL, HEHEHE in my original post?

some military discussions could have been culled out of that vid. people just need to relax. I just started visiting this board just last week and saw people post some Airsoft stuff, thought it was ok.

As I feel no need to bash the video as other already have, it was mentioned that tactics and such could be critisized from the movie, so heres my first impression:
1: No fields of fire observed by any of the people in the video
2: Failed to check the bodies of those that were shot (could be hiding explosives)
3: Slow reaction to a team members shotting
4: No tactical intervals when moving up the steps (one grenade could have taken them all)
5: No use of distraction devices
6: Failed to cut power to the location prior to assault
7: Failed to make a complete sweep of the residence

The camo is Flecktarn which is the standard woodland camo of the German Bundeswehr(spelling?)

about shutting down the power, wont that make an assaulting team loose the element of surprise?

Yea I have to admit, that movie was pretty stupid.
I come here to look at REAL military photos, not airsoft stuff. I know plenty of places I can find that stuff.
(I know on the other thread I posted that airsoft pic, but i'm never doing that again  )
to: over-serious airsofters
subj: tactics, equipment, uniforms.
just stop. take airsoft for what it is: a slightly weirder version of paintball. just have fun!! the instant you start discussing movement techniques, how to clear a room, etc, youve gone tooo far. you might think youre doing what you see on TV, but believe me its far FAR more involved. I kind of understand whats motivating you guys...airsoft is like a teenage version of cowboys and indians or something, but even more involved. to be honest for the most part youre wasting money buying military gear for all this, but whatever floats your boat. but for the sake of all of you, PLEASE leave ideas about learning how to clear a building, bunker, etc to the people who get paid to do it.
here endeth the lesson, drive on
I'm sorry, but I believe all airsofters need to get a life.
What I REALLY don't understand is why they spend all that money on fake stuff.
All of my guns are real.

Its just a hobby fellas relax.
Goodthing I did not come in here asking for ideas about my model kits you people would be yelling for me to build a real tank instead of my plastic models. lol relax you guys, your hardcore with your real private armouries, we know, no need to bite the heads off of airsofters just to prove how SOF material you can be.
building tank models is one thing...buying a fully equiped tank with miles gear so u can go out and exert some blitzkrieg tactics with ur friends is...different

I enjoyed the video.
It's important that you're able to tell the difference between a life & death situation and airsoft. I don't play myself, but I think airsoft is a great way to investigate your fasination of military tactics and equipment, even without the sometimes insane DI or the risk of actual death.
The film was semi-serious and you'd have to be blind to miss the humorous side. They did use some dramatical sound effects and they might have been abit too casual in their movement, but hey so what. Their teammeber didn't actually get killed and their life was in any real danger at any time. They tried to act and look like those soldiers they admire and respect, and I think they did a decent job. How about giving them an ounce of credit for what they are and not for what they aren't. They don't train 24/7 to do or die, they train and gear up for the love of tough guys like you.
So how about you take your 1000 miles stare and relax a bit?
I think airsoft can exist here to some limited extend, this is not a airsoft forum ofcause. Nor is it a political forum, but it doesn't lack any political discussions either.
Hey Dennis, is that guy shooting on your post from Metal Slug?
yes. sorry im not dennis. metal slug is one of the best chaotic humorously made side scrolling games. "and no, the future is not now". and now that i can emu through sis app/ i have brought the chaos home.

I do think that video is going a bit far (Im not saying that to avoid getting bitched at- I could give a **** about what anyone has to say), but I own a couple of airsoft guns and I don't go dancing around like a fairy. If you are under 20 I don't think it's a big deal to look up to, or even try to be like people in the military. At least I don't grow my hair out and hold up signs saying "no blood for oil" like so many kids my age.

Ok. I hope I don't sound like a dumb**** but, just look at that video. Are you 110% sure that those guys are just airsofters and not ACTUAL operators? Some of those Ops that they are doing looks like these guys have some training. Now would you airsofters hump all your gear for 25 miles? IMHO I think these guys are operators. Either that or they really know the fire movements. I think it's called the leapfrog manuver, right? Cause they got that down. The rappelling is another thing that got me. Those rappels look like they had to have training other than just setting around watching videos. They were doing free-fall rapelling is what I think it is called, without a belayer. Now I'll stop rambling and look at the video again. woot [/u]

Hey, Shorty.
I'm no "actual operator", but I've humped my gear over 25 miles before. I even hump my gear (dry hump, don't like the rain HAR HAR HAR  ) for that supposedly despicable game of airsoft. Just because someone isn't in specops, doesn't mean they aren't "dedicated" to SOMETHING.
My opinions on that movie: Better acting than I could ever do, but with my VAST :cantbeli: knowledge of SWAT-like operations, aren't you supposed to enter a building QUICKLY? Aggression is kinda useful when going up against armed drug dealers, or whoever they were.
I speak enough German to dislike that song. (just messing with ya!)

I hope I didn't offend anyone. I'm just a newbie here but, I do know alot about the military. Not in it though (not old enough yet), I just have alot of information to gain and share. But, now that you mention it that video did have alot of operational security issues. Smoking a pack of Marlboros is a good way to get nixed on a mission. But, I did like they use of some of the firing patterns. Very professional looking.

- I used to be fairly open about the gun control issue - after watching that video and considering the nuts out there, maybe I should reconsider to a policy more akin to your countries. -
although I can understand some of the "fun" and "hobby" aspects, but some of the blurred lines between believing it is real and and pretending seemed a little skewed.. that may in fact NOT be the case, but in my eyes it was what the video displayed (that and small glimpses in half right tactics).

Only thing worse then their clearing tactics is the music :bash:
Well the videos were meant for entertainment and I think they succeeded. I was reading through their martial arts page and found the following quote
Most of the techniques we will be working on go beyond defense, and allow you to deliver devastating counter attacks that are designed to end the conflict. By devastating, we mean broken bones, torn ligaments, loss of consciousness, maiming, and dislocated joints."
What's funny about this, is that anyone who's taken martial arts seriously for a few years, knows to laugh off such hype. In real situations, people aren't going to throw one punch, and then sit there and not do anything else while you proceed to tear them apart. It was great to see all these jimbob jiu-jitsu schools who touted their bone breaking, eye bursting, and brain frying moves get trounced once they got in the ring with another experienced martial artist.
Ok just to clear things out, i know one of the guys in the Video. They made it for fun and they never intended them to be real tactic combat demonstration. They had a couple of beers and decided to make it. They are all from UK except one who is german and was in the German Bundeswehr. Its a Airsoft Team called Jagdkommando 1.
So let the guys have fun.
