Saw this on another forum that I frequent every now and then and it’s from an Italian member there that had posted this………………..

IDF?
No. It's a ITALIAN soldier. And is a member of my unit: Carabinieri Parachute regiment.
They adopted M4 carbine and (Israeli) Hagor EPHOD as equipment. Curiously, the helmet looks like the IDf one in kevlar, while it is a Italian copy of the american PASGT.
The comments about Ephod from my former comrades are far positive.
Hope you can enjoy this picture, shot in Iraq.
Well I knew that some Italians forces in the past had been using the older Israeli “Ephods” though its nice to see that they upgraded to the newer Israeli vests :D
Anyways love their look……gee where they get that from? ;) :D

http://www.radar-ld.it/italiano800/GRUPPI/GILETTATTICI/150_920.jpgWell first of all this vest here doesn’t appear to be the same one in that pic that I posted on top and indeed as that Italian in that other forum said, it is an Israeli made (Hagor) vest!!
As for the one you posted now that you claim is a clone of an Israeli one, well I do see a few SMALL similarities though in general it does seem that this Italian vest veered off greatly from any Israeli designs ;)
Just my take on it………

Well I'm waiting for the final version that will be adopted. There are countless versions. No point of making a review on prototypes, now is there? But the general direction is looking good so far...

Man, that is one rifle I would love to get my hands on, too bad the main one is chambered in 556.
Is there any word they might adopt .45 for this versian sometime in the future?
