I'm not native english speaker or freguent chat/forum user so use of acronyms was at the beginig of use of this forum torture to me. Also recently I saw questions from new members about meaning of acronyms. So I started this topic tu ease life of new members.

Put here expalnations of often used acronyms or your country related.

I rally hate to argue with you, Tane, "no one get's terribly old", but have you seen Casey Casum lately? He looks like the crypt keeper. I'd have to say he's terribly old, or old and terrible... ;) On the whole, of course you're right, especially when referring to the distinguished members of this forum. :) G

Its these bull**** acronyms and "l337" bull**** that is going to kill the usefullness of the internet... i can see LOL, LMAO, WTF, STFU and ROFLMAO, but now its just gone too far with the substituting numbers for letters and stuff... Whats the point of struggling through reading something because it uses that ****...chances are if you cant read it , its not worth it. Same for those lazy asses who write "u" for "you" and "cuz" for because and stuff. Just my feeling.

errrm yea, speedtyping with the use of u and cuz is really gonna kill the world.. :roll: i do agree with u tho on the abbreviations...the amount of abbreviations ive seen in this thread is insane and 95% of em don't make any sense at all...about the 1337 stuff; it's not used for regular typing, just for fooling around so why wud u care about that ? it wud of course be a lot different wh3n 1 wud b3 us1ng 1t 4ll th3 t1m3 ;)

in many of these acronyms or whatever you call it
the F in the words doesnt stand for fubar
starts with an F ends with a K.....

btw i hate this kinda talk "LOL" "ROFL" and all that stuff!
