Where is the magazine catch on a sten gun? I could use detailed pictures of it and such. Also I was wondering where the fire selector was as I've been told it was capable of firing semi automatic and full automatic. I think it's a large button on the side of the lower receiver but I want to make sure.
Thanks for the all the help.

There was a Mk.V STEN as well - wooden stock/pistol grip/foregrip and Lee Enfield style fron sights - also too LE spike bayoness. Used into the 1950s, looked more professional than the original "plumber's delight". It also came in a fully silenced version.

The guts of the STEN were the same, regardless of model.

The fire selector is the button just forward and above of the trigger:

The magazine release is the bent over tab on the back of the magazine housing:

The pin wraped in the spring at the front holds the magazine housing in place, pull it out to fold the magazine housing down.

Hi everyone, this is my first post so forgive me for jumping into a thread where nobody knows me
Herrmannek is correct, the Rościszewski (spelt Roscziewski in the book I have) modified Sten is listed on page 290 in the book "Small Arms of the World" 10th Edition by Joseph E. Smith (updating the W. H. B. Smith title of the same name). Printed in the USA in 1973, it has the SBN (no ISBN as such back then!) of 8117-1566-3
I know this book isn't going to be the easiest to locate but if it's any consolation, there are no picture of this weapon in it so if you can't locate the book you're not missing out really.
According to the book, the work was done at the Long Branch Arsenal, in Long Branch, Ontario where Roscziewski was employed as one of the three principal designers during WW2. The selector for auto/semi-auto fire is part of the trigger like that used in the WW2 German MG34 machinegun. Unfortunately there are no stats listed for his designs so I can't supply any more info on the magazine sorry.
Cheers,
Kevin
