Just a little something I thought some of you would be interested in. Team Reaper 33 Kills...4 months Authored by Nicholas Irving

Read some of the most breath taking missions and engagements Sgt. Nicholas Irving, 3rd Ranger Battalions deadliest sniper had to face. Sgt. Nicholas Irving is credited with over 33 kills (less than 3 months) in Afghanistan as a Special Operations Direct Action Sniper. Simply riveting as he describes some of his kills through his eyes.

What pisses me off is that there are going to be people who will say "33 kills? pff look how many this dude got, and this one"...

Yeah. And those are the people that know jack ****.

I'm sure Sgt. Irving (like most professionals in the SOF community) isn't trying to glorify the taking of a life, as people at that level of soldiering usually understand is is a necessary evil. Those who praise the kill count are usually in the vein of being reckless "tough-guys."

OK, I got this in from Amazon last week, and I'm a little over halfway through it. My initial thoughts are that you can definitely tell that the book is self published, as there are several typos, grammatical errors, and other little inconsistencies (like paragraphs that seem to "jump"), but over all, it's been a good read so far. If you're interested in what it's like to serve in a Ranger battalion, during the GWOT (or whatever we're calling it now), and what the Rangers are up to in Afghanistan, check it out.
