New to the board here and looking for some information on these camo patterns. I have a friend whose company makes some items for the military. Recently he gave me these two rolls of left over stock. I know that they're USGI but have never seen them so they must be brand new or experimental. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

I've never seen them but desert camo with black?

I don't recognize them either. The tan one looks like it might be an experimental Desert pattern from the 1980's, prior to the adoption of the "Chocolate chip" 6-color Day desert Pattern. The Green one at first glance looks like the Russian Flora pattern but with Black added in.

itīs size compared with the car seat, the camo pattern appears to be coarse. So nothing for uniforms. May be buildings, large equipment?

OK, little more info here. The material you see is to be bonded to 1/2" foam and from what he tells me it is used for padding somewhere on a ruck. It definitely is for the military and he has given me pieces of the foam with the Multicam pattern on it in the past.

Men,
As stated in the original post, it is for a US military contract. It is not civilian. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens with these patterns.

I have the one on top on my 12 gauge, that's duck camo.

Men, it looks like someone is very serious about camo.

IRAN uses Black on Desert Patterns, M-81 mixed DPM, US Chocolate Chip 6 color has black....

the back of the material looks strange like vinyl....

Several Iranian copies of the US m81 woodland camouflage pattern have been in use since the 1980s. These vary not only in the particular dye colors employed, but occasionally in the alignment of the screens during the printing process. Both the Army and IRGC wear the woodland pattern. In recent years, this was the standard camouflage pattern of the Army, but it is now being replaced by a DPM variant in desert colors.

That seals it then. His buddy is breaking sanctions and selling to the Iranian military.

MultiCam isn't digital, and it came into service about 2 years ago

These particular rolls of material are slightly stretchy. As I stated before...it's made to be bonded to a piece of 1/2" foam so it has to have a little give to it. I know what the material is used for, my purpose for posting here was to see if anyone had seen this pattern before.

Thanks to those who posted with something useful. Like I said, I'll have to wait and see.

MultiCam isn't pixelated which isn't same thing (and it's actually been around for at least a decade).

Hi.
I might be able to shed some light on one of the patterns. The desert one with the black is identical to the uniforms worn by the Afghani NDS. Almost a paramilitary police force. If i can get a picture of one i will post it, however, a scan of google shows up the amount of differing camo worn over here.

The NDS is the Afghan domestic intelligence service, something on a par with the FBI I guess - hence the paramilitary bits.
