Fort Stockton, TX.
As a tourist, stop by and visit the Old Fort just off of 5th St. and Highway 285 South.

As a business traveller, besides gassing up your vehicle and dining on decent Mexican food, there's not much else.

Auckland:
Business Traveller: Get accomodation close to where you have to be. Expect to get ripped off by Taxi drivers. The waterfront is where the good drink spots are.
Tourists: Get the hell out of my city and go somewhere interesting.

Copenhagen, Denmark.

Lots to see in the center of Copenhagen: Castles, Museums and sail the canals on sunny days(bring umbrella). If you're a *** tourist, your hotel has pamflets from Visit Denmark funded by escort ads. Visit Denmark is known for their viral ad on youtube, trying to draw in tourists by telling people to come knock up our drunken, slutty blondes. If you're traveling on a budget, I believe the trafficked girls are loitering in the dirty streets behind the central station.

KC BBQ is worth the try. If you are ever up in the area I HIGHLY recommend Oklahoma Joes or attending a BBQ convention and taste variety of flavors. That being said, I want to try some good ol down home Texas BBQ.
Condoms or Glocks?
AK47's. Everybody and their bro has glocks. Never hurts to pack some Magnum XXL's either.
Don't forget the Kansas Speedway, if youre into that sort of thing. Nice place

I can't disagree or agree with this statement. When I went back to visit I didn't get a chance to see my hometown. Don't have babies in Crippler/Trippler, unless times have changed :D
I would trade you places any day.
North Shore is fantastic. Waikiki is overrated IMO. I was approached near Waikiki beach while shopping by some wacky dude asking me if I wanted to buy some Maui Wowi, he said i could rub it on my chest before I buy it. If you go to Hawaii see the country side/less populated areas. Hawaii is really the best place to be homeless as well, great weather and lots of tourists.

Oh I forgot to mention that you shouldn't drop litter or cigarette butts lest you be chided by a man through a public address system. I'm not even taking the piss, the local government actually decided that using a loudspeaker to reprimand people spotted dropping crisp packets on CCTV was a legitimate spending of taxpayers momey.

Tripler still the same old. Probably the crappiest DoD hospital there is. If they ever assign you to the place for any emergency or else, you might just well jump out of a moving vehicle to make it quick

Where I'm at there's no sense in visiting but right down the road is Savannah. Riverfront is pretty cool, good restaurants; Fort Pulaski is cool, as is the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum. If you're the touristy type a horse trolley tour of the city is a good way to check out the architecture. Also, about 20 miles south is Ft. Stewart and the 3rd ID Museum is worth checking out.

Don't go to any of the "touristy" locations, as they are a waste of time.
Don't bother with "touristy" locations like Hollywood boulevard, Venice, Huntington beach, Disneyland etc. They mostly suck. Also, "touristy" tourists suck. p-)
Instead, go to the Griffith Park observatory at night to see a great view of the city lights. go to Phillipe's in downtown, depending on the source, they invented the French Dip sandwich, but basically everything they sell there is golden. If you are into the music scene, see some local acts. If you're into rap, Casey Veggies, Skeme, OFWGKTA, and Dested always put on the best acts in their hometown. Go to the Hollywood bowl, its worth seeing, as are the Pasadena rose gardens and Rose Bowl. See Old Town Pasadena. If you're really adventurous, go see about paragliding tours off mount Gleason/Wilson. Also, theres an awesome view of the whole LA county basin from the top of Wilson. Glendale and Burbank areas are nice to hang out in also.

There are various other touristy things around, but I think most locals would be happy if you just kept going. We hear Canada is nice.
Oh, and don't come here wearing a bunch of faggy designer western duds, driving an equally faggy Escalade, and pretend you're the worlds greatest cowpuncher. We're not impressed.
If you're a self important douche used to getting your butt kissed everywhere you go, I suggest staying home. You'll be let down.

Since when was Versailles in Paris? That's like saying Baltimore is in DC.
Lovely place (as is much of central Paris), prefer the gardens to the palace personally, but it ain't in Paris.
Use Can I get, Let me get or I need as much as possible. And start every conversation with a grim "Listen..."
I once ordered a slice of pizza in the UK and decided I'd get a second slice on the way out. I went back up to the counter and said, "Lemme get another slice." The guy behind the counter responded in a shocked manner, "You've already had your pizza!?!"
Guess he thought I was demanding a second slice free of charge.

I still remember a time when the entire waterfront on the city side was packed full of cargo ships from the Brewery/Customs House down to the floating dock. Sadly the only ships that dock on the city side now are smaller cruise ships and naval vessels.

When the air sirene goes off, you have about 20 seconds to take cover before a fast traveling piece of steel falls somewhere. All the bus stations were replaced with big reinforced concrete blocks, so that's a good place to stand in. Ah, there's a nice little bakery as well.
Have fun.

The sky goes all the way from one horizon to the other. Fill your pockets with heavy rocks in the spring, the windy season.
Adobe Walls to the north where Billy Dixon made the "shot of the century" and took the wind out of Quanah Parker's Comanches. The JA Ranch to the southeast, the spiritual home of the cowboy. The 6666 Ranch to the east for world class saddle horses. Fryingpan Ranch to the west, old meeting place of the Comancheros. Panhandle Plains Historical Museum just to the south in Canyon, one of the best museums in the world. Palo Duro Canyon, second largest canyon in the lower 48. Alibates Flint Quarry, ten thousand years of history. Old Tascosa, an old cow town (ghost town now, not much left) so mean even Billy the Kid was afraid to go there.

West Texican basically summed up my current situation in his first couple lines.
My home town, Grand Rapids, MI is another matter.
Redwings farm team, the Griffins play downtown. Their arena also hosts some decent shows if you're into live music.
The state's only 5 daimond restaurant (1913 room) recently became a Ruth Chris (GodGodDammit!) but there are still plenty of great places to eat with German, Eastern European, African, Vietnamese, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, French and Spanish cuisine.
Go ot the tap room at Founder's Brewery. Great sammiches and world class beer for rust belt prices.
Drive 40 minutes and visit the Lake Michigan coast.
Gerald R. Ford Museum.
Meijer Gardens houses a beautiful sculpture park and botanical gardens. It is home to a bronze horse by DaVinci. Its 3 stories high and one of only 2 cast in the world.
An Alexander Caulder original downtown is the site of various arts and music festivals.
A restored Frank Lloyd Wright home is open to the public. http://meyermayhouse.steelcase.com/house. My father restored some of the furniture.
Winter nights, you can catch pick up games of hockey at Rosa Parks Circle (It used to be Monroe Mall. Why it was renamed after someone who has never been to the city had everyone scratching their heads). Public ice skating before 10 pm as well.

Sacramento, California-
Touristy places to visit include:
Sutter's Fort-The place that basically helped found Sacramento. That's where the Donner Party folks were heading once they ran into trouble and started fvcking eating each other.
Old Sacramento- It's right next to the river and has a bunch of buildings from the 1850-60's. This is where all the gold prospectors hung out and did their Wild West thang.
Crocker Art Museum-Oldest and finest public art museum west of the Mississippi.
Governor's Mansion-Ronald Reagan lived there!
Stay the hell away from: Oak Park, Del Paso Heights, North Highlands..most of South Sac.
If you want to go to shopping heaven, the Roseville Galleria is the place for you. Plenty of nice stores and restaurants all on the same street, across from the galleria mall. It's about a 20-25 minute drive from Downtown Sac.
If you're a Pinko-Commie, Gold River is your Workers Paradise. It's across from the river Fair Oaks (where I live). It's one of those "organized communities" with a board of directors or something. All the houses look the same and are really expensive. You can't park on the street in front of your house for more than a day or you'll get a fine, you can't have a basketball hoop that's higher than your back fence, they have these Gestapo-like security guards who harass teenagers for being in public. Even if you own your home, they'll kick you out if you break any of their ridiculous rules. One of the local Gestapo approached me and my friends for standing by my car in front of his house and asked me if I had been at the party down the street (I hadn't). When I told him "no" he immediately got on his radio and started calling for backup, telling them to call the police. I was like "wtf dude, are you listening?" ( he wasn't). I acted like I was gonna punch him, got in my car and left. If you look anything like I do and you walk around their shopping center, you start to feel like a black guy at a KKK convention. If you're not wearing Abercrombie you're treated like you're homeless by the local kids. I got in so many fights in middle school because of that.
