Great photos, I love the Grenade Launchers on those AIMS-74s. Is it an intergrated bottom Foregrip that has a GL built in? It looks alot better than usual AKs with GL attachments.

How is it decided which person in a unit carries the SVD (or varient, I can't tell)? Does it go by accuracy in range testing?

When my father served afther the firing range and about 60 bullets fired the ones with high accuracy are given the choice of using and training to use the SVD(PSL actualy) at least that`s how it was in the `70s in the romanian army.He had the choice but refused as to get combat medical training a choice i hope i will never have.
To the number of rounds fired in a year of military service wich is not voluntary :bash: you get to fire maybe 3 mags so when you finish the military you hardly know on wich side of the gun the bullets come out :( this is the romanian army **** i don`t know what are we doing in NATO :cantbeli:

Great pictures!!!!
These guys look pretty good. Kevlar helmets and stuff like that. Very nice. It looks as if these guys are upgrading their military, or am I wrong?
Are they switching to DPM completely?

Im not sure they are even going with the Tavor in the future. A couple months ago a buddy of mine sent me a very poor quality screen capture from the Romanian news. They were displaying new weapons in 5.56mm made by Romarm State Aresenal. They looked similar to the Polish Tantal.

no, it is probably BMP-1M with polish turret E8.
E8 turret is German (Rheinmetall), not Polish, and BMP-1 Puma E8 is just a technology demonstrator, it wasn't fielded or exported.
And this turret is an Israeli RCWS.

If I am not mistaken , it's called Puma (BWP with E8 Rheinmethal, not Polish) , and it doesn't look like that at all .Not exactly, the Puma (EN Coguar) is the name of upgrade program of the BWP-1, not the specific construction with turret A or B. But, AFAIR the Israeli turret RCWS-30 (with Mk 44 ATK autocannon) is chosen to the military test of Puma and not the Rheinmetall E8, so... who knows. If everything goes well Poland will buy ca.120-150 turrets for the Puma's.
BTW - I've got a short promotional movie of the new Rafael RCWS-30 turret, take a look: http://www.militech.sownet.gliwice.pl/inne/_RCWS30.mpg

Well RCWS is a abbreviation of RC OWS (at least last nTW says so), so imho both names (RCWS-25 and OWS-25) are equal.

ROWS 25 ... also known as Rafael Overhead Weapon Station. The missiles block is interchangable . It can use Modernised Maliutka-2(I think Laser guided) or the Spike's . Both are in use with Romanian Army. Romanian army will buy some 125 of those.
BTW. MLI84 - means Masina de Lupta a Infanteriei Model 19-84.
