Anybody got pics of the newest ships and submarines in the Russian Navy?
I hear they're launching a new sub each month these days:)

Who ever you heard this from must be on Crack and or heroine.
And I'm sure the Russian navy would love to get ahold of whatever your contact is on as they would like to believe they could launch a new sub every month.

How many subs does Canada have again?
Not counting those second-hand garbage recently acquired from UK?

And I'm sure the Russian navy would love to get ahold of whatever your contact is on as they would like to believe they could launch a new sub every month.he is right actually, in 2005 there will be new Lada SSK St Petersburg, new Borei SSBN Yuri Dolgorukiy, new Severodvisnk SSN, also will be a Stereguscchy class stealth frigate.

They actually have a Savak SSK and some others which I cant be assed to remember ;)

When compared to Canada, Serbia INVENTED the subs.
And we have a coastline, in Serbian Montenegro:D

These are the most modern Russian subs in operation right now, or due to be completed soon. The number next to the name is how many of each class are currently in service. I'm not going to vouch for the validity of the numbers, if anyone has more info feel free to post it.

OK. I wasn't sure about those and the Severodvinsk, I found several sites with conflicting information.

FGUP " the Admiralty shipyards " in October, 2004/project "Lada" / will launch a diesel engine-electric submarine of 4-th generation "Saint Petersburg". General director FGUP Vladimir Aleksandrov informed about it at the scientific and technical conference taking place in Petersburg devoted to the 300-anniversary of the enterprise.
On a submarine it will be established more than 100 head samples of the equipment. Besides the boat will be equipped with the newest complexes of the weapon, hydroacoustic systems and systems of radio-electronic arms.
Before V.Aleksandrov marked, that last 2 years of the Navy of the Russian Federation completely carries out of the obligations on financing a boat. It also emphasized, that the boat of project "Lada" meets the advanced requirements to the underwater ships of this class and does not concede to world analogues.
Project "Lada" is developed Petersburg TSKB sea technics "Ruby".
