Someone needs to make movie specifically dedicated to the men (and a small group of women) who make up Amereica's most elite CT unit. Not some, crappy Chuck Norris or one of those stupid, gas explosions, motorcycles with rockets kind of thing. I mean, a very realistic movie. And no, he doesn't run off with a girl with 42DD ****s in the end. We're talking, BHD style movie. Gimme yer opinons.

A Black Hawk Down-style movie that involves DELTA already exists. It's called "Black Hawk Down."

It would be a fictional movie, like Tears of the Sun. Only...without the gay and stupid story line.

Wouldn't a very realistic movie about delta also be very boring..?
Perhaps a movie depicting the scud hunts from the first gulf war. In a 2 hour movie, probably 1:55:59 would be dedicated to trudging through the desert. Of course, you could compensate by casting chris rock as the team leader. I think.

Why oh Why oh why does every non military person think that Spec Ops Units are out killing scores of bad guys all the time?
75% of their time is taken up training, and shock horror this involves lots and lots of CLASSROOM work, being in any Military Unit is like being back in school,it's all about learning what makes a good soldier, whether he be Spec Ops or a bog standard Infantryman.
It is not the glamorous lifestyle because they wear "oakleys and cargo pants!!!"
A typical training day when I was an Instructor was
0630 revaille
0700 Breakfast
0745 Area Cleaning(involving the whole Company picking up litter etc around the lines)
0800 Company Muster Parade
0830 Commence Training schedule containing :=Weapon skills
Map reading
First aid
Specialist Weapons
AFV recognition
PT
1030-1100 NAAFI Break
1100 Continue training program
1230-1400 Lunch
1400 -1630 training program possible Company drill etc
During a normal day it was not uncommon to wear 4 different types off dress, whether it be Working dress,PT,(Tartan Trews for drill etc or No2 dress),or full combats
Thats just typical of a regular Infantry training........throw in different weapons and kit,a bit more thorough PT,and there you have the training regime for any SF unit.............it can be very very mundane, even Range days could be crap at times.......it was only out on exercises or operational deployment when you put it all into practice then it got interesting for some jocks !

What they need to is make a good movie about Prince's Gate. That's what I think of whenever people talk about counter-terrorism. Key word being GOOD. "The Final Option" blew. Now that would be just plain badass.

You know what?
I just got the brightest idea, how a-boot a goddamn sequel. Something like: Black Hawk Down 2: The return of the Rangers & Deltas!!!!
I imagine a groupe of renegade deltas needs to clear their name by going back to the Mog. Maybe ride on Harleys and shoot with winchesters and Desert Eagles. I see Keanu Reaves in a lead role and perhaps Adam Sandler as his sidekick.
I only accept constructive feedback.

ya and while we're at it give out the starting lineup, all the names of delta and where thier locations are. and then clip thier ears with a tracking device and we can track then on global sec dot org. give them numbers on the back on thier flak jackets like in sports and look daily at the kill stats in the hunting sports section. excellent idea. alot of muslim countries would be getting thier subscriptions to the new york times. million sold in peshuwar. :D

I think they need to make a movie about the battle at Roberts' Ridge in Afghanistan. Our Rangers, SEALS, Air Force, SF, 160th SOAR, and 10th Mountain boys were trapped up there fighting for their lives. Who knows, there might have been a few D-boys there?
There hasn't been a movie on 9/11 yet...perhaps if they make this movie, they can have some clips of the attack at the start and then go into the storyline of our fine Spec Ops soldiers. It'll be a great flick and probably make a ton of $.
