This one is holding a Spanish made CETME L assault rifle. It is not the standard weapon in El Salvador. They have got some Spanish equipment due to being under Spanish command and belonging to the "Plus Ultra" Brigade (At the same time the Spanish Brigade is under Polish command in one multinational division).

The soldiers wearing the chocolate chip uniform is a Spanish "comandante" (Major).

Kuwait, before been deployed in Irak. El Salvador has sent 360 soldiers to Irak ("Cuscatlán" Battalion).
