How many conflicts , conventional and non are going on? ( thats on Earth involving Humans >> Jack Mehoff )
Ill read this when i get up in the mornin.

Can you tell me one african nation which isnt fighting another african country, fighting a rebel faction or isnt emboiled in a civil war. Minus maby Egypt and South africa.

fewer then in most of the history of man kind.... the world is at "relative peace" when you think about it. How many countries of the 250 are at war? how many of the 6.5+ billion people are in countries that are at war? not very many.
im glad to be alive in this generation... war is far different from what it as in vietnam and earlier... doesnt take a genius to tell you that.

Algeria civil war (winding down tho)
Armenia (Low key civil war in Nagorno-Karabakh area)
Burkina Faso (Accused of supporting factions in Ivory Coast civil war)
Burma (Karen insurgency)
Burundi (On going participation in DR Congo civil war)
Central African Republic (Home to various factions in Chad and Sudanese civil wars. Subject to military coup in 2003)
Colombia (Civil war vs FARC, M-19, Cartels etc etc)
DR Congo (Civil war with factions supported by Burundi, Ruwanda, Uganda etc)
China (Border disputes with Vietnam, Phillipines etc over Spratley islands, dispute with Taiwan, Moslem seperatists in western regions).
Ethiopia/Eritrea (still subject to low key dispute over borders
Georgia (Civil war, factions supported by Russia?)
India (Kashmir low scale war with Pakistan)
Indonesia (Aceh, Irian Jaya, border conflicts with E Timor)
Iraq (Civil war)
Israel/Palestine (Well duh!)
Ivory Coast (Civil war)
Koreas (Still technically at war, tensions, infiltrations by S Forces)
Liberia (Civil war)
Namibia (Speratist uprising in Caprivi Strip)
Nepal (Maoist uprising)
Nigeria (Muslim/Christian conflicts, tribal conflicts, speratist conflicts, arguments with Cameroon over Bakasi *****ula)
Peru (Maoist uprising/Shining Path)
Phillippines (Moro seperatists, Abu Syiaf, disagreements with China, Vietnam, etc over Spratley Islands)

with all this conflict going on its a wonder how anything get's done

Angola (Currently in ceasefire with UNITA rebels, has camps etc of Namibian seperatists)
Azerbaijan (Still unresolved conflict with Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region)
Bolivia (low level civil conflict with drug cartels)
Chad (Northern region in rebellion against southern based government. Suspected Libyian support for rebellion. Under pressure from Sudan over refugees and rebels from Southern Sudan)
Cyprus (Armed standoff between Turkish and Greek residents. Chance of peace agreement voted down in April 2004)
Ecuador (Border war with Peru resolved in 1999. Coup in 2000, ongoing low level civic dispute with drug cartels)
Fiji (Attempted coup in 2000. Rumors of unrest in army over prosecutions of coup participants)
Guinea (Domestic fighting among disparate rebel groups, overspill of trouble from both Sierra Leone and Liberia)
Haiti (Recent civil war overthrew government. Post civil war lawlessness and political voilence)
Kazakhstan (Terrorist attacks from Islamic extremists)
Kenya (Ugandan rebellion group The Lords Army operates within northern Kenya)
