The only south Vietnamese Unit I know are the ARVN Rangers.
But I don't know if they count as a SF Unit.

You talking about the Vietnam war?
Didnt think the VC or the NVA had Special Forces, and the only South Vietnamese SF were American trained ARVN Rangers...
So could you be more specific?

He must mean the Vietnam War. South Vietnam doesn't exsist any more since 1975 ;)

South Vietnamese went on joint operations with US SEALs during Vietnam. I do also believe the North also had Special Forces units that were part of the Vietcong I think. The reason why I posted this subject on here is because I do not know if South Vietnamese SEALs are still going and if they are if there is any information about the recruitment/selection etc of the South Vietnamese SEALs.
Thanks for your comments so far

I didn't realise Vietnam has merged. I'm sure Vietnam has special forces. I only know of a unit called "Dac Cong". No idea anything about the unit. I'm really only interested in Vietnam Naval Special Forces. I don't know whether after the North and South merged so did its special forces. I can't find any info about there Spec Forces units. Just wondered if anyone knows of or has any information regarding this...would be grateful especially into Vietnamese SEALs (if they still exist.

During the Vietnam war there were South Vietnamese units that were more highly trained and much like our Special Forces. It's been a while, but if I remember correctly the Army units were called LLDB (Vietnamese acronym) and the Navy SEAL type units were LDNN which roughly translated to 'soldiers who fight under the sea'.
Hope this helps.

I consider the Montagnards special forces.
