does anyone know what seal unit was in Tears of the sun and if the movie got it right with how seals operate

That movie was another brilliant attempt at ****, and it achieved its goal.

Mission accomplished....now lets all listen to the tears for fears song "mad world".

Its just a movie, it was good and entertaining but not realistic. And they dont say which Seal Unit it is.

Do they rotate where each SEAL team's operational area is?

yeah i think they are now doing that ,rotating SEALS teams instead of having an individual team for an certain place also within a seal team does each individual have a certain role within the group like pointman,corpsman etc.........

My opinion (it and twenty-five will get you a super small nofat decaffe mocha latte` at some tragically hip coffee shooting joint) the movie isn't so much about the SEALs,yes it was marketed as such and they move the story along,but it's about all the crazy **** going on in Africa.Heard the director's commentary and the old man that's weeping when they get to the village suffering the "ethnic cleansing" is weeping because he escaped something like that.Sadly,Sony or whoever marketed as a super high intense actioner and budgeted it that way,probably wouldn't release it until they edited it that way.When I saw it,I got the feeling there was a lot left the director had to leave out.Mor characterization,more about the refugees,etc.
