Bare with me for a moment… I was talking tonight with my father and we had a very interesting discussion that I would like to share with all. It may be somewhat hard to explain, but the discussion was about how humanity evolves and what is right or wrong in that evolution. Basically, what is the correct way of action in politics (ie are the politics/wars of today bettering humanity? Worsening humanity?) and the like.

What I am trying to get to if you haven’t understood yet, what are the implications of today’s politics and why do you think they are right or wrong.

Like, let’s say the war in Iraq. Do you think that was a right course of action? What does that hold for the future in your opinion? How will future alliances look due to the result of this?

To Iran: Do you think an attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities would be a right course of action? Why is it? If against, why is it?

To other nations: Should more countries have Nuclear, Biological or Chemical weapons?

To the US: Do you think America has too much power and it should not have so much power? Do you think it should back off of other nations’ affairs? It should actually do more than it is doing more now?

There are also many other examples in the world today…

Basically what I am trying to get at, what do you think of today’ politics and the implications for tomorrow’s world.

Also, something we talked about was Muslim fundamentalism. What does it hold for the future? Should it be fought more? Less against? What can be done? On note, this is not against all Muslims.

This all may be somewhat confusing, but hope some understand what I am trying to say. Humanity has evolved over thousands of years because of actions that took place in the past. What do you hold of the actions that are taking place today and what consequences and/or results may we see tomorrow due to those actions?

I may not post much, but just want to get ideas and see what people have to say.

It was a great discussion I had with my dad and hope I can see the same here. If it turns into a flame, this thread will be locked. That's a no brainer.

So please, discuss.

It was right! I feel it is was prodent thing to do in order to simply stablize that area so that our children don't have to! ( I am very blk, wht)We (US) found the final frontier for democracy to effect! A few years ago it was asia before that it was europe and now it is Middle east and next stop is Africa. The US has a world game plan to impose; we have been at it since day one, but not to impose it with force (like Romans or Great Britian) but to impose with pleasure instead of pain. For example fast food, wealth, hollywood, and some bombs but SMART ones..
I also had a conversation with my pa and we spoke about the UN s impotence, He told me that he feels the US should start its own league of Democracies and I thought that was absolutly brilliant! He stated "only democratic countries that follow a certain set of rules that are based mostly on elections and human and civil rights"! When my dad told me that I was like woe! So I have to say that would bring back our influence on the world stage and I also added countried that follow get a big discount on our products.
I have to sleep so no more but am looking foward to reading other posters! good one Midav!

Interesting! Glad to see more good father to son debates :)

Thanks! I like to get the mind to work and think this is as good a topic to do so as any other.

If you have a problem with what he said, post your point of view. I am not here to criticize.

Just here to see what other people to say and what their views are.

LOL is only three letters and doesn't get you very far in here.

I disagree with alot of this, but then again I view you as nothing other than some idiot American teen who gets his kicks by touting America as the best country in the world, ruler of the earth. And if you aren't, you'd better have a good look at yourself because you sure act like one. Don't even try to shake this off, it started with your retarded comments in the photo albums on this website slandering the troops of other countries and their equipment, with your trademark of idiocy wrapped up in one phrase; "Weep em man its America".

Now, less of why I don't like you, more of why I don't like your views.

Firstly, why would the US get to decide who is democratic and who is not? You don't own this planet. If the US decided to start its own league, it would firstly, have very few members, and secondly, brew up further anti-americanism from what now seems to plague the world. Also, why do you think we are so dependant on your products, why would the rest of the world need "discounts" on them? I doubt any sane country in the world would want to have "subsidised" American fast food in their country, unless they don't give a crap about the health of their citizens.

Why don't you look at how the fundemantlists came about. If there was no US presence then they would have no cause to fight or grow...
