Probably my favorite episode of that show was the one where the test tube baby guy (born at 18 years old, trained to kill), is offered a ticket out of the military if he goes on this secret mission in the alien planet with the older special forces guy. it embodied everything that I find interesting about special forces. being inserted deep behind enemy lines, there's very little support from back home, and you have to go for days on foot before being able to come home.
