Front of the wee, PPM Modular knife loop, HSGI single pistol magazine pouch, Spectre gear horizontal GP pouch, maxpedition rollypoly. On the bib is a compass/strobe pouch and multi-tool pouch, both PPM. Recently got the improved shoulder straps, they work nicely.

Back of the wee. Took what pouches I had and slapped them on, the PPM medic pouch and PPM medium GP pouch, two PPM magazine pouches for... buddy reloads? All on top of the HSGI hydration pouch (which is huge...)

Here is my favorite song:

waar kan ik heen
ik kan niet naar duitsland
kan niet naar duitsland
daar zijn ze zo streng
waar ken ik heen
ik kan niet naar chili
kan niet naar chili
daar doen ze zo eng

k wil niet wonen in koeweit
want koeweit dat is me te heet
en wat amerika betreft
dan landt de stad niet echt

waar kan ik heen
wil niet naar noord-ierland
niet naar noord-ierland
daar gaat alles stuk
waar kan ik heen
ik kan niet naar china
wil niet naar china
dat is me te druk

k wil niet wonen in schotland
wat schotland dat is me te nat
en de u.s.s.s.r
dat gaat me net tever

is er leven op pluto
kun je dansen op de maan
is der een plaats tussen de sterren
waar ik heen kan gaan
is er leven op pluto
kun je dansen op de maan
is der een plaats tussen de sterren
waar ik heen kan gaan

k heb getwijfeld over belgie
omdat iedereen daar lacht
k heb getwijfeld over belgie
want dat taaltje is zo zacht
ik stond zelfs in dubio
maar ik nam geen enkel risico
k heb getwijfeld over belgie
het stond zelfs in dubio
maar ik nam geen enkel risico

Ebay... I did a search for Jpoint and it came up with a few items. I lost 2 auctions that included the mount for the ACOG so I ended up doing a buy it now option for one without the mount for $150. It is a real one.... The one pictued with the gun is the T.E.G. Option model from Dentrinity for $26 that incleded the correct mount. The real one in in the mail as we speak. I figured since I bought it and it will be here in a couple days I could go ahead and list it. You should still be able to find the Jpoint on ebay or do a google search for it and you can go to www.eabco.com (I think that is the site)

So the translation of the article....

Clansman Bowman Headset

Don´t take this article as a review but more as a description of what I did to make it work. The first step was finding this headset on Ebay... I even don´t know how i found it. It was clear that i mus have it. I won last two pieces. In quite a short time i recieved a package with headsets and started thinking how to mod it. My first impression was to make it work on PMR radio and on RF 10 (Czech military radio), by the actual use, after i decided to go the PMR way only.
Whole story continued with visit of the shop to buy needed parts. I can´t say I knew what to buy but the shopkeeper was very nice and after some discusssion he offered me some combination of parts i needed. The final choice can be seen on the pic. The parts are - plastic box, nonlocking switch, rocker switch, 7 PIN audio connector (both male and female) and 4-wire screened cable. Because I have Motorola T6222 that has atypic connetor so i had to find some. I bought hand mike and used connetot from that - that was the last missing part.
We started working on that with my teammate - He was modifying the bow - it needed some holes fot the PTT and VOX switch and for the cables to the headset nad to the radio. By that time I was torching the connectors to the cables. I interrupted the cable with 7 pin connecotr so I can take off the headset very quickly without removing all my gear or disconnectiong cable from the radio.
The followed connectiong the cables and connector inside the box. It has no point to describe it here - the scheme is enough. What it needs to take care of is polrity of all the connections - if it´s wrong modulation won´t be good. After some serious testing the box was all filled with plastic. We used melting plastic pistol. This means the box is very massive and weather if not waterproof.
And practice? The qality is great it can´t be compared with original motorola accesories. The quality of the sound is outstanding - the mike positioned right before the mouth gets the voice clear and undistorted. Sound of the speaker is clear, loud, agreeeabl you can understand each word. Whole headset is very comfortable and what is great it doesnt affect your hearing with the covered ear. You can hear almost as good as without the headset. It fits great under helmet.

The end is a bit shorter - it´s only about how he likes the headset and so. I hope it helps. The first pic on the page are the connectors - the former (right) and the new 7 PIN (left) on the second and third pic there are the parts in the PTT box. Fourth and fifth pic - the PTT box with VOX swith with clip. Sixth pic - headset with new connector and the last pic scheme of the cennections in the ptt box.

hope it helps.

Only thing I don't like about it is how akward it is to have a Camelbak on at the same time. SOE makes a setup where a hydration carrier replaces the rear straps without making it into a plate carrier. I might get that someday.

I have a question regarding mag dump pouches..... What kind of experience do you guys have with them and if it is positive what are the optimum setups? On your leg or of your vest? I am considering getting one and have seen one or two that look promising but I would rather here from the experienced before dumping money. I have to say I am much more a gun whore than a gear whore so I would like to spend as little as possible experimenting and would prefer to experiment with my guns.

..well i've both... ;)
...sincerly i prefer a rollipolly pouch, because until i don't nees to use it you can leave it close so you can be more "free" during the moviments :D
but with a classic "vest" you need a drop leg one...faster but quite " voluminous"... :(

http://mitglied.lycos.de/planlos0815/pics/tn_dk4.jpg (http://mitglied.lycos.de/planlos0815/pics/dk4.jpg)

The equipment includes a German flak vest, a HSGI/KHS drop leg holster and a heavily modified issue lbe with a yoke, four double mag pouches, a self-made first aid pouch and hydration carrier.

The BDU consists of a modified, RAID-style top and special forces combat pants with integrated cordura knee pads, both are made from the lighter tropical flecktarn for hot/humid climates.

Oh, and the rifle isn't mine, so don't ask me about it.

I have the helmet and body armour but it's a bit hot here at the moment. I'll do some more photos later.

I wouldn't ever use a telescoping stock on my gun because my M4 at the moment needs a huge battery for the insane ROF.

Likewise I would never replace my dark hawk with an M9 because the Dark Hawk is all my dreams come true :D

It's much cheaper then a Marine loadout... :| though I have a set of 3Color DCUs, Woodland BDUs, Helmet Covers, the whole nine yards..my basement is basicly a surplus store. I have a lot of army stuff, so the marine loadout was new and expensive.

X2. I don't know of any military issue rifles with an M4 length barrel and a full stock. Not impossible, just highly unlikely.

Also don't know any PJs without armor and MICH/ Protecs... although Protecs have seen better days.

protec vs K Pot: protec... provided impact protection and light weight at the cost of ballistic protection...

Protec vs MICH: the Mich barely weights any more than a protec, provides equal impact protection, and ballistic protection..... thats why you dont see too may protecs these days.

He'll have more than one setup, I assure you, very soon. As soon as USPS Priority mail can send, it'll be there.

And David (the photo) has MC bdu's, MC helmet cover, and MC pouches. Oh.. and the lovely gun. I think that's all for now. He has Multicam stools, but I have Multicam PILLOWCOVERS!

Pwned! :P

Howie, have you even posted your actual loadout, including bdu's yet?

My MC bdu's will be here shortly. I called crye, and they're saying they happened to have them.

My latest set-up. This was taken last Saturday. temperature was 101(f) at game time. had to leave the IBA behind and just go with a light chest rig. :D

Issued ACU's
Replica MICH with Issued cover (AITES)
Bellville boots.
BH chest rig with AITES pouches in ACU.
Bijan kneepads in ACU
XM8 kit with Elcan clone attached. (400fps)

Awsome load out.
I was wondering if you had a close up of your helmet foilage?

If you or anyone here can help, I was wondering where can I get helmet foilage for my helmet? Thx! and keep the pics up..

I use sections cut from an old camo net to help break up the shape of my helmets. The 80's green/tan version was used on this one. I have a solid tan one that I use with my desert helmet covers.
I don't always use the netting and cary it in a molle grenade pouch along with my dead rag. If the terrain is heavily overgrown, I'll put the net on.

Keep dreaming multiwhore, they will continue to rule the world with or with out ACU or older camo's. By the way I was standing with in two feet of the helmet, thats why it looks washed out. But it is much greener. Multicam is a little better but only in greener jungle area. In a wooded area not much. The thing about Multicam is that it hasn't any urban properties. And to be honest multicam lights up like a tan Christmass tree at night. Just like 3 color desert pattern. You would think the ACU would be much brighter, as a matter of fact it does very well at night and doesn't light up. Just to let you know my friend. ;)

I have a pair of ACU's myself. I think they're ok, but where we play.. Multicam, thumbs up, hands down!

And.. lights up like a christmas tree at night?

I personally if my life depended on only these two camo's in a wooded area, without a doubt I would go with the Crye stuff. The thing is I was out with some friends in Long Island and it was a full moon and the Crye camo just stood out so bad in moonlight and the ACU didn't at all. Not to mention we were doing simulated cqb with abandoned houses and around cement, bricks and wood with little lighting from a street lamp, the crye gear stood out so much in that lighting. I think the camo is (again) great but it is not what the US Army was looking for. Which is a general all around camo for every single environment with emphasis on urban being first priority, desert being second and because wooded or jungle areas have so much coverage (trees, bushes) it is the last priority with the new ACU. Multicams main function or priority in my opinion is just desert and wooded areas. No urban properties. But to be fair, must people don't know that crye's Muliticam was first developed with the acu colors FYI.
