I have those fake plates and they are a good addition to the vest.
Foam is necessary. As Americano says, the cover is empry. A real interceptor is a cover and layers of kevlar. You have to simulate the layers of kevlar with foam and you add the fake SAPI plates (front & back). I use both and it feels confortable. It's thick and warm :)

For the color scheme, after seeing kapral's pics I am pumped. I think I will go with a woodland MARPAT and Woodland SDS. Good choice? Or should I get a woodland MARPAT and Coyote Brown (although it is a couple of shades off as what CMDrfire says)?

Also pouches from SDS correct? Because CMDrfire says that the AITES kinds are diff color from SDS?


It really sucks that there aren't much of Intercetor replicas. And boy, from the pictures of the "Airsoft Dragon" kinds, they look terrible and the groin protector shape doesn't look quite right. I will stay aways from them.

And the Guarder/G&P don't come with the throat and groin, but SDS comes w/ everything. I tried to look for a separate throat and groin but they are like impossible to find online!

Search Ebay. There are planty of groin, collar and oke protectors for IBA, as well as IBA itself.

SDS pouches are lighter. AITES has contract for USMC< and every pouch form AITES will fit.
Don't go for knockoff, get a real Interceptor;)

Well, if you had a creative / original mind like me jackal...you would learn to take something crappy and make it into something great.
It shoots harder than my glock(s), with more accuracy, and 1 shot is all I need.. you probably miss with all of your 300 rounds. :)
That M4 (it's actually the XM-177 mind you), is more than 5 years old and it still works like a champ.....more reliable than AEG I've seen around here

About my "Gear", my entire torso wear totalled at 75$, sure it may not be a pretty CIRAS with omgmolle all over it, The vest isn't stiff like a CIRAS so I can actually move around with it. Maybe since you use to play paintball, you'd understand how usually the guy with all the fancy pressed clean gear, is the crappiest player. I don't play airsoft like it's a fashion show. :D, Oh yeah and I actually "Play" airsoft, unlike..what 1/2 - 3/4 the people that are on the forums who just buy and buy and let it sit in their closet.

Plus there are 2 glocks, and an ICS Mp5, but the MP5 is on crack and only works every other trigger pull.

And, none of my **** comes from jungletoy

@kapral, in person, the paint is alot...alot...ALOT darker,lol. It's actually somewhat darker than my woodland stuff.

Here's a little sum' sumthin. Nothing too special tho. I kinda left all the bells and whisles out, and please, don't ask me what that alice-pouch is doing there.
It's a G&P SPEAR body armor(size M). Very nice piece of equipment. Very comfy! The collar protector(not in the pic) was the only disappointment. The interiors aren't nearly hard enough to keep the cordura under control, so it doesn't really look like anything else than loose cordura. I'm going to rip them up and insert something in them to make them look more efficient. I'm still waiting for the G&P SPEAR load bearing system to arrive.
I also don't liek the look of that boonie, I gotta get a replacement for that. I guess it's screaming for a helmet.

I guess they could have been confused over seeing the ranger version of the SPEAR BALCS, which only has horizontal PALS chambers. And yes, I agree, that it is a bit funny how they came out, but since you actually could make them yourself, I'm not sure if I'm gonna take them out. Although, they're pretty much useless, since the vertical chambers are on TOP of the horizontal ones, and actually only two slots on each side is available for attaching stuff.
Nevertheless, the vest is very nice, and I think it's a good choice for an airsofter not wanting to put 500$ on a real thing. It's not like I didn't want to, but I'm not going to. Ever.

I use desert boots on hot dry summer day and in CQB, then got pair of Haix Aipower P3s and salomons for the wet enviroment.

goretex is less breathable so it isn't as confortable as non-gore desert boots that almoust feel like air around your foot.

I believe the neck protector is sown on all sides, so practically you need to rip one side open and then insert whatever you want to insert. Ofcourse then you'll have to sew it up too.
Remember, if you use a normal sewing machine, you'd better just move the needle up and down manually, rather than pressing the pedal and let the needle break while it tries to keep up with the speed on hard cordura.

you mean the collar protection? You can't remove the kevlar. That's why they say (assuming you're a real soldier/Marine that you have to keep your existing collar protection.

Thanks, well the picture was taken at the end of the day, just before entering the Respawn Zone.
When i returned to the Respawn Zone it was my last mag that was filled with BB's, why canadian because it contain's 450 rnd.
I use it as a back-up mag to get out of tricky situations or when i am out of ammo.

I think I will buy the SDS from them (Woodland, since it goes along with any uniform, and also since the coyote brown color isn't really coyote brown color).

I wonder if the SDS Woodland color is the correct shade?

Also, $115 compared to $130 is a way better deal...and they are located in Texas (Closer to me, I live in Cali, Entry Gear is in New Hampshire).

The "middle" one with the censor has a SPEARs BALCS on correctly and the man next to his left has a Paraclete RMV. The man in question has the BALCS on backwards...he got issued it and doesnt want to get a new vest off of the supply chain or order one from the dealers...guess he likes the BALCS more than getting a propper MOLLE rig...he could still just order a RAV or similiar vest and label it as a team expense....

hhahaha, no. Trust me, if it was on the real ones, they made it themselves. There are no horizontal PALS chambers on the front of the BALCS system. The replicators only made them to sell off a few more for kids that didnt want to mount them to the vertical ones.

The first SPEARS vests still didnt have horizontal PALS, if they did it was all custom. The SPEARS was designed by SEALS to accomodate for them and they like putting their mag pouches off to the left or right. I love MPnet airsofters, most of them, becuase they realize the game like I do, they play to the best of their abilities and still try to get people to stop acting like fools on the other boards. I dont know why this stuff got posted on here, the perpetrator, Joelz just for no reason started acting like this. I know hes on the local boards and I guess hes just having some fun, I have never personally met him, dont know what his problem is. Just please realize, I am doing something aobut my weight. I used to weigh 220 pounds, Im at 190 right now 5'7". I still have a lot to go, that and keeping my vitamins and minerals up, its not all weight that gets diabetes going, its diffeciencies in my vitamins as well.

Hmm.. Well a new addition to my load out is POISON OAK! A buddy and I went horse back riding ourselves and hiking all over the National Forest in the mountains in my area this past wekend/weekdays.. I geuss I must have brushed up againsed it..

The good thing is I have NOT scratched it since the irritation showed up, And it has yet to spread from the point of the leaf contact to the rest of my body(I have a releif gel), I read somewhere that is you do not scratch it, it wont spread.. (I have had it swarm my body before)..

How much is the gas there? I know u use gallons and all that and I dunt know how to convert it, but we have to pay 1,30 € (1,65 $ US) per litre. THAT'S expensive...

In all honesty if it goes through, it will get a new exhaust and all intake parts changed out. Has low mileage, less than 5k apparently, but I haven't seen it yet.

Gas prices here in LA are around $3.30 or so a gallon... so going cross country is gonna be a new definition of "expensive".

Well, actually. I would not fill up before leaving Cali, leave it at 3/4 or w/e...then fill up when you get a little further east, 'cuz it may be cheaper.
Right now the highest I've seen in pensacola wsa $2.96, lowest $2.84
