I'm posting it here, not in the marine gear thread, becouse loadout is some sort of mix, not exactly marine.

Why do you dress up and play army?
The same point, really. To the "other side" US soldiers are evil killers. Whatever you do, someone will always be offended. I'm really sorry you lost a friend in a terrorist attack, but "ahmed" just lost his mother, wife and three children because a US fighter plane made a little mistake.
Just enjoy life while you can and don't take things too seriously. Laughing is healthy!

dude you're not funny. have you thought about someone making fun of your lifestyles and culture? how would it feel if someone made a mockery of your people? i cannot believe how ignorant some people are.
Hes not making mockery or fun of anyone, hes just saying anyone has the right to choose his own airsoft loadout as he pleases... Im soon going for a SEALs loadout, do I support the SEALs? no. do I want to make fun of dead SEAL operators? neither.
Like anyone else in this game I dress up like someone who kills people, wich is bad by default, not by who they kill.
Airsoft should just be a game like computer games, where you can choose the army (or insurgent side) for likes and not for politics.

i understand, but if a muslim person saw that they would be offended, look at the sign he's wearing too. would a SEAL be angry about you dressing up like him? probably not (unless he brought up that you didn't earn the right to wear the uniform, but that's his choice). these are two different things you're talking about here. wearing a SEAL loadout won't offend anyone. wearing something that pokes fun at someone's religious beliefs is another. following me?

- Tactical Stealth Floatation Device

About 2 seconds later an employee came around the corner, had a laugh, and told us if we got one, we could "take the spring out and stretch it to get 30-50fps more". This is funny to me because my buddies team does SEAL impressions.

I think Göönk's point was that considering the quality of the picture, there wasn't any real need to post it. After all, what good is a picture we can't see nothing on? Whether you made it clear it was taken with a cell phone or not, you should have realized there was no point in posting it...

We use the Flecktarn, and M4 from ICS and what a great guns they are.We Use Bonnies for training but we use Mich with fleck cover for games.
There are some new equipament coming to use , like pouches for the harness, USP GBB,Aimpoint replica for my m4 and Acog replica for my brother m4.
But ti will put some pics of the new loudout.
;) ;) ;)
When you take a picture, try to pose in front of something dark, with the light coming from the side or the back of the photographer. The way this photo is taken, the camera adjusts it's shutter time to the light coming from the doorway behind you, underexposing you.

Hummm... old school ALICE suspender and pouches = Nice and simple. :)
Always the best loadout for jungle combat.
I've bought a Chinese knockoff M14 recently & the quality is really really crappy. One drop from 3 feet above ground and the charging handle goes bye bye, and it doesn't feed well too.
Now I'm thinking of buying a Mauri one and paint it just like yours(just right after my FAL project)

There look to be some Parkas in those pics ;-)
You know it might be an idea to get denison knitted cuffs (they often popup on ebay) and attach them to a Falklands Parka, I know a few guys who did this to other smocks, as the Para smock isn't the best for windproofing or comfort avaliable.
Vince S
02-11-2007, 05:45 PM
Could always do that, but I'm not playing enough outdoor during the winter since -30celcius is a gearbox beater, so no real need for a Falklands parka. I didn't know that the Para smock was not confy, so I might go for SAS smock insted

It's not that they're NOT comfortable, just that they're not the MOST comfortable. To be honest if you're going for the Para impression I think stick with the para smock, SAS is good, but better to wear the kit most identifiable with the unit you're trying to represent.

I have to admit, off the field it doesn't look all that bad. I actually had a set on my wishlist, up until I played against people wearing it in a woodland environment. Scratched it off my list as soon as I got home :)
If I played at a place with lots of concrete often, I might still consider it...

That's up in my mountains. The rifle is a POS UTG AK47 which broke when I slung it to climb some rock. I threw it down onto a slope and laughed an evil laugh as it's small cheaply-built Chinese parts flew in various directions. I cleaned up the mess.

Could always do that, but I'm not playing enough outdoor during the winter since -30celcius is a gearbox beater, so no real need for a Falklands parka. I didn't know that the Para smock was not confy, so I might go for SAS smock insted
Sorry to go OT but does anyone know of a way to keep the GBs warm in the snow, or until whaat temperature it's safe to use them? I thought of maybe taping one of those heat packs to the receiver - you know, the little bean bags you open, shake up and they stay warm a couple of hours. Or does that only work with body heat?

no its not dollarstore gear. way ferro is just a gear whore, weve had several debates on my 150 dollar plate carriers and his 600 dollar EAGLE loadouts. only quality with him, as he will eat people who actually have to pay for things like a car, and school, a home, heat, blah blah.
And yes I am CANADIAN, but Im a "contractor"*, so its not too far out of the question to think a corporation would buy a G36? Its not really military so im not carrying a C7. Maybe they like carbines that work. I think i pulled the look off quite well, yes i do need some more things, another drop leg, maybe a rapelling harness, more gear, but considering what i put into this compared to you, i think i did alright!
*I AM NOT a contractor, this is for airsoft only, its just uhh pretend.
Oh and that tan CIRAS looking thing, that is near dollar store quality, i got rid of that, so ferro can have that one.

Well even though I consider myself as a HK fan boy I still find myself not quite into the G36 series. But here's some of my ideas.
Sighting system:
You can't go wrong with an aimpoint or Holo sight. Both are available in replica but the price tag of Hurrican 552 is a bit high.
I might better off save up some more for a real deal in the second hand market.
Also recently I've seen lots pictures showing MP7 flip up sight on G36 instead of the regular one. I like the subtle-ness of such modification.
With this set up you could co-witness with an aimpoint or a zeiss red dot without problem.
example:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/korbentst/wargaming/y20040007.jpg
And if you want to go further I'll suggest the KAC top rail+BUIS combo.
Looks really badass on G36. Replica is avaliable somewhere but it will be a good hard find as it's a rather rare product.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/korbentst/wargaming/posthkg36bt.jpg
Weapon light:
A surefire M3/M4 looks good on every railed rifle and be sure to match it with tango down grip. And a M900 is also a good choice too. I know there's a replica M900 in Aisa recently, but allover finishing/quality could not compare to the Surefire product. You get what you pay for.
In summary, whatever long & big & looks aggressive could match your rifle well.(Pity I'm not familiar with laser aiming unit so I couldn't extend my opinion onto that)
That's all I could think of for your G36.
And last but not least, here is a thread about Mr.Lee's G36(Oh how I adore him). Hope it might inspire you a bit more.
http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=99259
Be sure to post up some pics when you've "accessorized" your rifle. woot

They've just forget airsoft is supposed to be fun instead of argument, however some peoples just don't get it. No joy at all playing with those fellows.
Luckly I've a bunch of regular gamers who's more kind & normal to play with.
To Bigjeff: It's just my "not so authentic M16A4" acutally, but the Elcan give it a "C7 look" from distance. I like the Canadian setup pretty much but I still can't find myself a Canadian receiver locally. :-(

airsoft is probably the most expensive sport considering how much you guys spend on just clothing and gear alone.
How do I know it's airsoft? When I see a bunch of skinny people running around playing soldier. I don't know if I should laugh, or feel sorry for you guys.

Quoting from the forum rules:
8. Don't insult the airsofters or video game players in their forum section. A separate section was setup specifically for hobbyists to separate the real from the non-real military people and events to alleviate such problems.
Now, fyi, I am 1.90m, weigh 95kg, have practiced Vuong Tsun in the past, currently practice Chinese Kempo Karate and currently do club security work bouncing people that don't know how to behave themselves out the door. I personally don't care what my fellow players look like, whether athletic, overweight, underdeveloped, or whatever. As long as they play fair, are respectful towards the other players and enjoy themselves, I couldn't care less. This is a *hobby* to us, a passtime, we aim to have fun, not to seek your approval.
If you want to laugh at the airsofters, fine, but keep it to yourself.
Thank you

from what kick or punch?
10 odd punches to the head from different angles
massive fight at the club just before christmas. we tried to break it up, I got separated in the chaos while holding one of the fighters and 3 or 4 others started pounding me on the back of the head. wasn't much I could do but cover my face at that point. I was rescued by a couple of regulars who pulled them off me.
I actually got a call from the cops today asking about my injuries and was informed one of them is still in jail :bash:

I'd suggest one thing thing to make this more legit. The things of velcro on your MICH are usually intended for IR tags and perhaps a strobe on the back. So why have velcro on the side of your helmet when you have velcro on your arms? IR tags on your shoulders, slap a piece of velcro on the top of your helmet so you don't get smoked by helicopters, and one on the back for a strobe or something. Just a thought.

Velcro on top of helmet so you don't get smoked, yes let's tell that to every soldier.
One on the back for something. What "something" would that be. Hmm just a thought.
Why not, just make the entire helmet made out of velcro, that way, no one gets anymore thoughts since we have peace of mind that helicopters (even enemy helicopters) won't get us smoked.
OK. Gee, relax I'm only teasing. I have too many problems. Maybe I should put velcro on my keyboard or something.

Uh actually every Army soldier does have an IR tag on the top of his helmet. Those ACU helmet covers have a IR tag just like on the uniform. And yes we run into alot of enemy helicopters over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Obviously, IR tags are meant to deter friendly fire. Your teasing was pretty ****ing stupid given you have no ****ing clue what you're talking about.
