Man, I like that loadout, simple and practical. Were you guys actually firing or not? I'm asking this because I see the muzzle adapter thing on the front of you A4 and saw no eye protection.

Yes. The photo is from a seperate exercise earlier on the first day.

What kind of mag do you have in that SIG 552P?

Looks like MAG, 30-round length, 100 round midcaps.

You've got the wrong kind of tigerstripe (ripstop and the azian one). There were only twill tigerstripes and in different patterns.
Seals or sf units did not wear the shovel or I sure haven't seen it on one.

And then there are wrong trademarks and some other wrong details on the xm but that has been said before of the ca xm177...

No offence but this doesn't look like a vietnam Seal/sf loadout to me.

the shovel is just there because I forgot to take it of, as I use the webbing on a Grunt kit to

I'm looking for some paint in the perfect gray so I can just paint over the the markings. as no markings are better the glowing white armalite stuff

but I didn't know that the BDU was wrong, just bought them of ebay, as they were called vietnam tigerstripes

Thanks! Actually the cords annoy the hell out of me. I want my radio in the front, but putting it in the rear would probably solve the cord problem. The radio's not secure. The belt clip popped off the radio itself. The clip was still hanging on the pals webbing. That was annoying.

Is the back wheel of that H1 covered for ballistic protection or so the ledge can be used safely to stand on?

though ballistic protection for the wheels does seem a little wierd after removing the doors.

Digital Marine
04-22-2007, 11:00 AM
Probably to make it safe for someone to stand there, minimizing the risk of getting caught in the wheel.

@Angel - That holster looks a tad too far back for a comfortable draw...how do you find it?

-Angel-
04-25-2007, 07:02 PM
To be honest its not ideal, but 'do-able'.

Its really in a transitional phase while a buddy of mine makes me a molle chest rig to mount the 4 x M14 pouches on. Something along the lines of a SORD MFF rig, but in Multicam.

Then the holster will move further round, onto the side instead of the rear quarter. The pistol magazine pouches are in much the same position on the left side [unseen] and will also move forwards.

After months of preperation and searching for the right pieces of gear, we finally made some pictures! It was a nice but very hot day.

Viewers discretion, this is not a 100% detailed impression of the Dutch operators of the KCT in Afghanistan. However a lot of things are based on upon it.
Most of the gear is chosen by warGOD and MadMan based on personal preferences.

warGOD here (if you don't mind, that is,), we used Krylon. Khaki, Medium Brown and Brown on MadMan's blaster, Khaki and Medium Brown on mine.

@Ryan Woods: Mine is a pair of Oakley Ballistics, with two pairs of glasses, clear and shaded. Bought in the US like MM said.

@M1 Garand: One of those Toto (or something like that) ones. Actually, the only replica Bowman on the market, you can get them with Motorola or Kenwood pins. Man, I really hate the fact it's a replica. It should be easier to get a real Bowman converterd than getting hold of some of the other stuff in my loadout!

Converted sets go for around 80 GBP on eeeeeeBay. I kind of like to get my hands dirty and mod stuff myself, so I've bought a couple of Bowman's I still have to convert....if only pryme.com would get back to me about those PTT units...

Where did you buy the replica?

Thanks,

Just drop "Cavalry Toto headset" into Google and you'll find some shops selling them. The HK shops are selling them too, but they can't spell for **** :)

Redwolf calls it "Cavalvy Toto" and at WGC it's called a "Caveley Elite"

I have finally finished my woodland loadout, only ERLD boonie is still in the post. Eotechs are probably the best close range optic you can get (IMO). Good, fast, tough, reliable, run on common batteries (I'm looking at you Aimpoint), and they are fairly inexpensive for a quality optic.

EOTECHs are basically like having a ****ing heds-up-display, where the dot is, you kill, simple as that, and also, they are that expensive because they are real steel, meaning that they wont get the aim screwed and needing to be re-adjusted after recoil, etc...

I can get a 552 for around 300 USD... which isnt bad at all...

And also, how come people can't recognized what an eagle PC with CB looks like? :/

Hi!

If You had an opportunity:
Would You enlist as an NCO or go as a private. or maybe get some degree, end military training after studies and be lt. 2nd class?

Most of of us, are pretty young guys. Some times, people have 25, 27 or 30 and more years. The have their jobs, famileis etc. They probably won't end up their current lives and move along whole country to serve for $hitty cash. That's why. Dude, we don't live in USA or Canada.

Most of of us, are pretty young guys. Some times, people have 25, 27 or 30 and more years. The have their jobs, famileis etc. They probably won't end up their current lives and move along whole country to serve for $hitty cash. That's why. Dude, we don't live in USA or Canada.

I quit a 50,000+ dollar a year job at age 32 to enlist as a private. Now I'm about to be promoted to MCpl and I again make around 50,000 a year. I have served overseas and I'm heading back next year. I would'nt trade a second of it for anything. It was a gamble and it cost me ( A divorce from my first wife) but the pay-off has been huge.

we get to choose the gear we wear haha.
the impressionist have better gear then 98 percent of the us military. though it wasnt free haha.

I choose tons of my own gear and I get to wear it when it counts.

I have a question. (This is not a flame and if you take it that way just ignore me because I dont want to be responsible for trouble in your airsoft area) If you guys are all so big on the military and re-enacting troops ect why don't you join up with your countries military? I am interested to hear your thoughts, and once again this is just a respectful question.

About 3 years ago now, I was about to sign up with the Dutch Royal Marines. Filled out the paperwork and everything. Gave myself a couple of days to gather the courage to break this to my girlfriend at the time, as I knew she wouldn't agree at all. 2 days later, she tells me she's pregnant. I chose to stay home.

Thats a shame (but children are their own reward). As my father used to tell me, " life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans". :D

I feel its not worth the money for a cause i dont believe is a threat to my own national security. I support troops, but not this war. I choose to become a police officer and protect the people i love and care about here at home. Not saying soldiers today are defending there nation, just i dont feel that way myself. Plus R.C.M.P. get paid better : )

I am building towards a very successful career in a regular job, and at 21 i'd rather improve my position where I am and be able to support myself and a family when the time comes. I have the upmost respect to anyone who joins the forces, but no matter how great my passion for the military and strategical thinking is, its never 'drawn' me to join up.

The closest I have come yet, was after the 7/7 tube attack in london. After some time, it became apparent I was just angry, and thats never a good reason to sign on that line.

Not to mention I have a number of piercings that would fall way outside regulations ;-).

MP? no you need to specialize in the field to do that. You have control over what you want to do, whether it be musical ride, PSD, ERT, homicide, Drugs, UCA. Ill level with you that i have just finished and passed my application to head to Depot, i just need a date. Hopefully by christmas ill be in a red serge. I know a quite a few mounties, and im researching the specific field i want to advance in, one of them being MP at one point.

So in short, you have to volunteer. : )

He's not talking about MP's. Theres no such thing as an RCMP Military Police. What he means are the RCMP officers being sent to work with the PRT and train the afghani police.

MPs are Military Police and they are members of the CF not the RCMP. Some RCMP members (many of them are ERT but not all are) deploy with us overseas but they are not MPs.
