Well, I don't know where he's from, but he stands like a Yank. The point I was trying to make was just because he has all British and DPM kit doesn't mean he looks the part... or anything like the British Army at all.
He's wearing a Dutch DPM uniform, so his non-British stance shouldn't be a problem... p-)

And having met a bunch of Dutch Medics... well all I can say is that they have a certain style and panache that far exceeds this guy!

alezi: Same 6004, but I bought a safariland 1/2 drop belt adapter so you can mount it to the belt if you like and with just enough clearance for armor. I personally like it better on the belt, but for pics, I use the regular dropleg mount.

Angel: yea, its a crkt first strike. Its actually fits fine on the 6004, the skull spike doesn't poke me or anything. It is a bit awkward to mount anywhere else. Its too large to mount on my armor and the spike digs when I belt mount it. If you are contemplating this knife, buy the smaller version. This one is too big.

Already bought one! I'm having trouble finding somewhere to mount it properly. I use a cordura holster instead of a SL, so shroud mounting is a bit more difficult.

I'd steer waay clear of crossdraw vests...

Go modular (MOLLE/Malice) right away.
1, you buy exactly what you need, no more no less
2, if you change setup you might just need to tweak the gear
3, resale value on MOLLE gear is a LOT higher than on non MOLLE gear
4, not many people will actually even buy the type of vest you or "amazing kg3" suggested...

8. Don't insult the airsofters or video game players in their forum section. A separate section was setup specifically for hobbyists to separate the real from the non-real military people and events to alleviate such problems.

That's from the Forum Rules.. Although I don't expect any of you get any punishments as you're from the "good guys". Now I know one of us might've pretended to be something he's not by wearing a tab. But re-enacment is a hobby of many nothing you can do about it. Having forum wars certainly isn't the way to combat something you feel is wrong.

Not going to say you guys need to grow up as I know how that would sling back to us. But I certainly hope you take your flaming else where..
Well if airsofters would have stayed out of the equipment section then this wouldn't have happened in the first place...

So it's all about because Capt. Miller posted his opinion on the Gear forum? I don't really follow who do the posting there but heard about that one.

Anyhow he's going through the EOD training (conscript) in the Finnish Defence Forces right now, and actually has had time to fiddle "an EOD helmet" there. So he forgot to mention in his profile that he's a airsofter? Big deal.. I think it's quite obvious.

Now go back to your side and we'll stay on ours.

Thanks and respect

They could be army, marines, airforce, navy, SF, or regular guys who think its cool to jump on the band wagon, that isn't the point in the slightest.

Yes, we have a very amusing hobby, and it attracts a lot of people who are deluded into thinking they are far far cooler and 'hardcore' than they are.

But what is the point of spending hours repeating the same stuff at each other? and more so, in a section clearly marked as an airsoft area, with instructions not to cause trouble?

I don't associate myself with airsofters as 'my mob'. I have friends who play, and I have met good people through playing, but by the same token there are some real dumbasses around who provoke this kind of s**t from real deal guys.

In summary, feel free to bash me. I play a game on the weekend because I enjoy it. How does that effect you lot? I'm not in the army, because I don't want to be. Simple as that.

Do you really need an explanation? Imagine you are an US soldiers, you've done all the incredibly difficult and dangerous things they do in military. And then you see some kids, who have no friggin' idea what it really takes to be a soldier, playing you. I grew up around the Army. My dad's a retired Maj, his brother a Col, other brother Capt, dad's dad was a MSG in WW2. One cousin is EOD in Iraq, another is 82nd, and another is in Basic.

Out of every male in my family I'm the only one not to join. I tried to enlist when I was 17. When 9/11 happened. They turned me down because I had a GED. Last time I took an IQ test, I scored 137. I was in the Gifted classes in school, but got kicked out because of getting into fights. Does that make me a coward, or a pussy? Sure, I could probably get in now, but why would I want to put my life on the line for an Army that said I wasn't good enough?

When I was old enough to hold a gun I was shooting. In grade school, I was playing M.I.L.E.S. at the former JRTC in Ft Chaffee, AR. So carrying a "Real" M16A2, playing against real soldiers doesn't account for anything? Sure you can say that there isn't any "oh ****! factor" like being fired at by a real gun. But I could always sneak around and get "kills" against professional soldiers.

Why did the chicken cross the road?!!?

Recent changes in technology, coupled with today's multipolar strategic environment, have created new challenges in the chicken's ability to cross the road. The chicken was also faced with significant challenges to create and develop core competencies required for this new environment. AMC's Chicken Systems Program Office (CSPO), in a partnering relationship with the client, helped the chicken by rethinking its physical distribution strategy and implementation processes. Using the Poultry Integration Model (PIM) CSPO helped the chicken use its skills, methodologies, knowledge capital and experiences to align the chicken's people, processes and technology in support of its overall strategy within a Program Management framework. The CSPO convened a diverse cross-spectrum of road analysts and retired chickens along with MITRE consultants with deep skills in the transportation industry to engage in a two-day itinerary of meetings in order to leverage their personal knowledge and capital, both tacit and explicit, and to enable them to synergize with each other in order to achieve the implicit goals of delivering and successfully architecting and implementing an enterprise-wide value framework across the continuum of poultry cross-median processes. The meeting was held in a park-like setting enabling and creating an impactful environment which was strategically based, mission-focused, and built upon a consistent, clear, and unified Mission Need Statement and aligned with the chicken's mission, vision, and core values. This was conducive towards the creation of a total business integration solution. The Chicken Systems Program Office helped the chicken change to continue meeting its mission.

That's why.

The above mentioned chicken should have crossed at an 800mil angle to avoid prolonged exposure to a line of communication. To achieve maximum surprise, the chicken should have performed this maneuver at night using NVGs, preferably near a road bend in a valley.

If this had taken place I'm sure the chicken would not have become KIA.

Hilarious read. I could care less what I wear while playing airsoft, I just so happen to have a pair of USMC MARPAT BDUs myself, works great, and possibly a cheap little chest rig for mags and water. I'm certainly not trying to impersonate anybody, it's just like PB to me. Although a lot of airsofters spend ridiculous amounts of money on gear, and flaunt it around the web. :bash:
A certain group of Filipino airsofters excluded! p-)

It looks like Blackwater's padded belt. You can get them from Optactical.com. Also Phantom makes copy from it. I think the BW's padded belt is one of the best padded belt I've seen so far. My teammate owns one of those and it beats my Tactical Tailor's padded belt easily.

keyserSOZE

Mick0 is correct that is a Blackwater IO padded belt.

The cap with the N on it is just a regular baseball cap I got from the US naval academy in Annapolis. You probably want the hats with the velcro on them THey're just baseball caps with velcro stitched on.
