Other than the ridiculously pricey vendors on eBay, does anyone know where I can pick up some Italian Vegetata camouflage? I've seen alot of these kits using it and would like to get a set for myself.

Ask your local surplus. Mine has buttload of the repro stuff... They must be able to find some.

hmm well just like every other Italian made item, the camo will usually expensive, you might just want to go to your local military surplus (mine is "good-to-go") and see if they can special order it for you... :D

I was just bored. We got 14 inches of snow today so I was just hanging in the house and decided to do that. It was really uncomfortable, so I'm not gunna use it.

See the only problem with that is that ACU is only good in the post zombie apocalypse world of London. rofl I use woodland MARPAT, it looks good with it though.

I really liked it, until people just got retarded at the outbreak. Then the movie just became this anti-military statement that the director wanted to do. Yeah, lets give the janitor access to the most secure room in the compound and not put any guards on the last living infected in the city which is the only thing that could reverse all the progress that had been made on letting the rage virus die out. Let's do all of this so the director can have the military shooting dozens of innocent people and turn them into ruthless killers that will be hated by the audience. It ended with 28 days later as far as I'm concerned. That movie was Alien 3 to Aliens. I wouldn't pi$$ on that dvd to put out a fire. /rant

Sorry, not against you, I just really hated that movie.

my kit looks like this:

3 color desert or woodland camouflage
some ALTAMA Army combat boots
Mich 2000 helmet , camouflaged
Oakley sun glasses
knee pads
Underarmor gloves
tan Vest with pouches
standart Army belt, color: tan
pistole holster
a M9 pistole
a SR-25 and a M4 with front grip an ACOG 4x scope

I just have to get me a new vest

ALICE Gear is a type of web gear system and was introduced in 1974 as the standard for US troops. It remained so for a number of years through late 70s, 80s, and into the early 90s. You can find it in pretty much any surplus store in the United States.

I used ALICE Web Gear for CAP and airsoft and it never let me down from SAREXs to backyard games.

hey does anyone have a either video game or movie kit? my brother wants to make a resident evil one since theres some kinda zombie game he wants to attend. but i dont know what hes talking about.

also i just ordered a G&G PM5 and Blackhawk Omega Elite Phalanx HSD vest. for a cqb game comeing up anyone use either? Im not too too too fond of blackhawk vests since most of the ones i have had have been subpar. but this one looks nice for what i need it for. any info would be great

Yeah, I have an RE2 kit with one of those blue Leon R.P.D. uniforms. If you search eBay, you could probably find some cosplay uniforms and what not. Also, if you want something from the movie, just search for Resident Evil movie props and you'll find some good sites with some uniforms from the movies.

sweet thanks starvinmarvin I have to have an mp5 in my collection thanks to the damn team i play with. and yeah the RE uniforms is something he is looking for. if i have to play with him i guess i could do black bdus and my new blackhawk hsd vest and be the umbrella guys lol.

i just hope the front end of the G&G MP5 isnt as bad as the CA one i had damn thing wobbled all the time. something i read about the G&G said its a one part upper and outter barrel is that true?

The G&G MP5 does not wobble. Very solid. I'm pretty sure it is one piece, because I think the takedown is different than a CA, which IIRC, requires the receiver to separate from the rest of the gun...

What kind of uniform(s) do they wear for operations and what type of webbing/gear is worn?

I'm trying to put together a USAF-inspired kit but don't really have anything to go by.

tan is the color for now until the AFI changes but i have seen guys with ABU gear/ pouchs. theres a company that makes ABU gear and pouchs when i get home ill get you the lists and pics and the link to the gear sight

uscav.com or militaryclothing.com both have ABUs and they are only around $80 or a little more, maybe $86. I didn't see any pouches in the color on those sites, but I didn't look. I'm sure you could find some floating around.

These guys have em - http://stores.ebay.com/Airsoft-Accessories-Supply_Combat-Gears_Clothing-BDU_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ20286271QQftidZ2QQtZkm - Cheap Asian knockoffs (Tru-Spec...) most likely, and only reg-sizes available. But, they're like 30 bucks a set plus s&h.

They've got some nice little short-sleeve "combat shirts :roll:" too.

blackwater stuff still working on it. the front pouches on the chest rig should have(but not in the picture) 2 Sig p226 PTP mags, and a GPS, the radio is a dummy but has my Icom in it. the radio pouch under the left arm is my water bottle holder lol

You can find a lvl 5 PCU, but for some odd reason they only have pants for sale right now, 2 weeks ago they had every size of jacket for about 95 USD or so.

But if you don't care about a PCU jacket, then get the MCU which is almost the same, it is 96 USD, don't know if they ship outside of the US though.

I'm pretty sure ORC isn't making the Level 5 anymore thats why they don't have them on the site. I also heard that they are so cheap because they are getting rid of the last sets, pants and jackets.

I do! (sort of) Sometimes for guerilla or just really spontaneous games, I wear DPM trousers and just lightweights, and a shoulder bag for ammo and not a whole lot else. DPM is one of my favorite patterns to use for airsoft. I don't have any PLCE though :|

My comment wasn't regarding the actual camouflage; I was asking if there's anyone who plays without the dress-up. (Panzergraf grasped my point.)

It's all about 'loadouts' and specific themes. Everyone seems to have at least one acronym or initialism hanging off of them... And whatever anyone says, it isn't reenacting - you can't reenact at a skirmish!

I guess I'm old hat. HFC-134a, ASGK, stock FPS and such. Hell, it's getting difficult to find Tokyo Marui stock! Everyone seems to be interested in cheap Chinese fakes.

I own 3 Tokyos, they are all stock. And I have NEVER had any problems with them. I did rewire the S-System I have to the back because I was sick of using small batts, changed the stock to a full stock and voila - problem solved. :)

I dont believe in all the "omfg man we look cool if we dress up like DELTA FORCE!!!!" and so on, infact i lol at those sorts of people. So i went for something that works well for me. As im awaiting UKARA membership, the AEG is not mine, but a rental. (along with the vest and mask.) however I will probably follow a similar loadout to that in the future as I feel it works, and thats all that matters to me.

(although it is fun to sit there and watch all the uber t4cticool guys carrying loads of heavy equipment, crying because they are tired. lol.)

Niice kit! That looks a very very good choice for most winter games, is that inspired in SAS from CoD4?

About weight, I can´t understand a kit that weights more than 3-4kg (7-9lbs, without a full camelbak) for playing during an entiry day.

Cheaply no... But go on John's World of Camo Ebay store, he has good stocks of both DPCU and DPDU in good selection of sizes. That's where I got most of my Auscam stuff.

But you could always go on Ebay Australia and try to message the seller, sometimes they will agree to ship abroad (got my DPCU webbing that way)

Niice kit! That looks a very very good choice for most winter games, is that inspired in SAS from CoD4?

About weight, I can´t understand a kit that weights more than 3-4kg (7-9lbs, without a full camelbak) for playing during an entiry day.

thanks, its comfortable. :) in a wierd sort of way, its sort of loosely inspired by the CoD4 kit. I was talking to a few local airsoft guys before i gave it a try, and asked them what they normally go for. they said "olive drab or black jumper and some camies, and a regular vest works well" and at the same time i noticed the CoD4 SAS troops had a simple loadout which was very similar to what these other guys had shown me, so i figured i'd give it a go. and to be honest, it works well. its comfortable, the green is fine for camo, and most of all, its cheap and durable. and yes, works well for winter. :)

I ordered a cheapo MOLLE vest off ebay, as after using that rental assault vest i cant be bothered to have 50 random useless pouches. I want to customize something to my tastes. So i bought a "plate carrier" vest (mostly because it has a SH*TLOAD of straps on back and front for me to customize.) for about £40 shipped. I got a game on 1st of February so assuming it arrives in time, i'll give it a try then and see how it holds up. pics will follow. :)

Wanted to be different on the field, too much "HSLD" people, figured out I'd go the opposite :)

Oh and I still have some more in my closet LOL

And I have to tip my hat to the Aussie uniform, probably one of the best ones I've seen so far. Trousers are made of heavier fabric than shirt, wich is good because trouser tend get damage.

As for the webbing, I absolutely love it (except maybe the suspenders wich are pure ****). But then again I don't carry anywhere near as much kit as a soldier would do p-)

Indeed it is. DPM was the 4th full set of camo I purchased. But I've got alot of other patterns I like as well.

I also like the Russian Blue Urban Tigerstripe, but haven't been able to find it anywhere...:|

I suggest you try some trigger control, and lay off the trigger a bit.

Gear looks good, as long as it works for you then keep it, try rolling the sleeve down, you'll never see Marines sleeves up in the field.

How are those replica comtacs? I have been waiting to hear a review on them.

Well, some of them work just fine - BUT - me and my friend ordered 2 x ComTac-II with motorola and ICOM pins. Neither works 100%, about working as a headset I'm not sure, 'couse I haven't got a chance to test it yeat, but the microphones on the sides don't work for either of us. When you move the batteries around they work for about .5 of a second.
So if you're lucky then why not, but it's a 50/50 that they won't work.

Tuck in your boot laces, if you're going to spend a ton of money to look cool in gear, then tuck in your laces as well, otherwise all that cool stuff looks like crap when your boots are looking sub par. Other than that, your gear is looking pretty good.

I know I've probably broken some golden rule by using an outdated marpat vest with ACU but where I play the woods are full of waist high dead grass and the rest is green so that combo works well for me. I am planning on getting some kind of vest soon though, the tac vest is too out-dated looking. In that loadout I got:
-JG G36K with "barrel extension", home-made 3 point sling and grip-pod
-M3 shotgun with M1014 retractable stock (single shot version)
-KJW M9 with chrome barrel and home-made wood grips
-Supercell spring Claymore with wired detonator/trip-wire key
-UTG MARPAT 6-pocket tactical vest
-drop-leg platform with ammo pouch
-claymore pouch on belt
-Wiley X Top Jimmy's with sunburst lenses
-Mechanix gloves
-commercial knee pad (why use 2 if I only kneal on 1?)
