Yea, mix of new an old US gear. Good kit, an its cheap :P An I go for the normal grunt/rifleman setup, not a special ops one; so it fits.

I like my beret. It's like my girlfriend.
Beside, it's magic beret, It never fells from my head, and always stays fit.
Even if i'm drunk. Once I was tottaly drunk, and I vomited in train by a window, the wind blew against my head, and the beret did't fell. I went to sleep with the beret on my head and in the mordning it was fitted percectly.

I'm not a soldier or what, i can wear anything that i want :)

kapral, because I can say my opinion on things on this forum. Your right I don't know you, but that doesn't me an I can't comment on things I see. You've posted a lot of pics of yourself wearing various unit insignia, qualification badges, medals, etc. I'm not a fan of people wearing that kinda stuff unless they've earned it.

he should go to the gym and workout! Im doing it, i love it. I am 1.75 m, or 5'11", and i gained almost 4 kilos in one month! I gotta admit i am drinking pretty expensive weight gainer shakes, but the next month i aint going to use those, and find out if theres a difference.

That looks sweet! Question: Are the black straps authentic, or would desert color be better? Guarder uses black and G&P uses the same color as the vest.

Another question: Anyone use Belleville 220 boots? It's a nice looking boot and might be better for the climate I live in. I would like steel toe boots and something not so sweaty, but still comfy. These look like nice boots too, and not some kinda sneakers. Comments?

I know the MICH helmet is all the rage right now, but I actually want a good PASGT helmet with quality covers (I like that look with the flared front). Who makes the best replica? Surplus? I think a black helmet would be good with optional desert and woodland covers. This way I could do some 'black ops' CQB when I want to. :lol:

Anyway, I found this cool conversion kit while looking around. Looks like a good solution for upgrading to the newer comfort system.

ESOGSteel, Blarney is right, RAV stands for Releasable Assult Vest and the brand out there is Paraclete. The one you have is called the FSBE or the MOD II Vest made by either G&P or Guarder. And the pouches atteached to it looks like the one made by BHI.

Only helmets I've ever worn, aside form bike ones as a damned kid, are issue PASGT ones. Only seen MICH's used by RTB guys in Ft. Benning. I just HATE how it gave me freakin' migraines. Just get a bit of padding, or go BIG PIMPIN with that AE system, and ****, you're high speed as hell! Should be just fine.

See here is where the breakdown in communication happened…RAV (rapid action vest) as opposed to RAV (releasable assault vest) I had always heard RAV as a Rapid Action Vest: a vest that was designed to be quick to put on, and only carried ammo, and water, basically the essentials for an 8 hour period of time spent in a hostile environment. Apparently, that’s not an RAV. The source of my information was a retired USAF CSAR member, I guess things have changed, or he was full of ****. Ether way, I wasn’t lying, just misguided.
