From the two example pictures I saw, the multi-cam looked very different in color. It could have been the digital camera adjusting to different white balance conditions (different Kelvin temps), or maybe your eyes really do adapt to the MC under different conditions. Nevertheless, I like it!

Howie Kaluha: Thanks, the Rollypoly is really nice, as I hate subloads on the legs (even Safariland 6004's) this is the perfect solution for me.

Hawkeye: I love it! Have tried Arktis vests and BHI CRCH's but this is the one for me. I don't have any real plates but I have a cardboard-like material as inserts instead to get a nice shape and fit of the weesatch, imho it's very needy to have some sort of inserts in a wasatch/weesatch.

It's not just atropine in the auto injectors, there's some Lorazepam and another substance that counteracts the NAPS (Nerve Agent Pre-treatment Set) tablets. There may also be pralidoxime chloride too.

Nerve agents work at the Neuromuscular junction (NMJ) where nerves pass on the signal travelling along them to the muscle, telling it to contract. They do this via a chemical called Acetylcholine (ACh).

In a normal NMJ, the signal reaching the end of the nerve (axon) triggers the release of ACh. This travels across the NMJ and binds to receptors on the muscle 'post synaptic membrane'. Another chemical called 'Acetylcholinesterase' (E, in this diagram) breaks-up ACh and allows it to be reabsorbed into the axon, ready for the next signal.

A nerve agent is an 'Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitor'. It works by binding to Acetylcholinesterase (E) and preventing it breaking down ACh. As a result, ACh builds up in the NMJ and occupies all the binding sites. No further signals can be sent but, crucially, the muscle doesn't relax. This causes the effects we see clinically and is how the agent kills. It essentially 'freezes' the muscles all over the body, so the victim can not breathe.

The NAPS act in a similar way to the actual nerve agent, but their effect is reversible. When the auto injector is used, the effect of the NAPS tablets is reversed and some binding sites are made free. So the NAPS reduces the effect of a nerve agent, and allows for some normal function to return to the NMJ. Of course, once the Auto injector is used, the NAPS does not protect against a second exposeure of nerve agent.

The atropine acts to block the binding site so ACh can not bind. It also counters some of the autonomic effects of the nerve agent. Lorazepam acts to counter seizures brought on by the nerve agent, and to reduce anxiety. It replaced the diazepam tablets that were issued alongside the injectors because lorazepam is soluble and can be included in the injection itself. Pralidoxime prevents the nerve agent from binding to Acetylcholinesterase and hence prevents further inhibition of ACh break-down.

How does the Paraclete work for you? I was just recently introduced to the their products, I really like what I see. Since I have to replace my G&P FSBE wanabe (I think that’s right?) I want something that’s gona last a loooooong time. I just want to see what other people think of them before I go buying one myself.

Well, the OP that the picture was taken at (And the same OP Chest Mystery's photo was taken from. Hello, rebel Tropico!) was actually the first time I used it, but so far, no complaints. It's constructed very well and was no problem to adjust. The particular model I'm using comes in 5 different sizes and a variety of colors. I never really felt the rig all day, which is a great thing indeed. If you forget you're wearing your second line stuff, that means you're wearing it correctly, in my opinion.

wildernesswhore - Coyote brown goes great with Multicam, hence the reason for the switch. Though, I did order an ESSTAC multicam pouch from eBay, we'll see how that looks but Sexycam pouches are real expensive/hard to find.

1 time i was wearing a helmet for 6 hours, and it wasnt even airsoft! but that helmet gets hot after a while... its best to wear it on a cold day... other than that.. i prefer boonie hats or BDU caps :)

Remember that the cover isn't supposed to worn like a baseball cap. It's supposed to be tight and worn on the crown of your head, like this (http://media.militaryphotos.net/photos/albums/ratamacue01/bqi.jpg).

Thanks for the pic Ratamacue. Probably the smaller size would be better then if it's meant to be worn that way, but I also use the cover day-to-day and it's more comfortable this way (having tried on my sister's again). Less afraid of it being blown off by wind ;-)

It's just the OTV cover with foam inserts; no kevlar spiffyness here, I'm afraid.
I got the cover from Tactical Advantage, comes with the main OTV cover, the groin protector and the throat guard. I'm looking around on ebay and stuff for a collar/yoke assembly in coyote brown, they won't ship them overseas because they've got kevlar built-in.

They only have the small size in at the moment though.
I'm off to sleep for now as well, going airsofting tomorrow with this kit for the first time :-D hopefully it'll hold up well.

it's funny that you ask this, after I took the pictures I tried to take the magazine out and the damn thing hit the bottom of the M900. I moved it up a couple of slots and it works just fine now.
