Just wondering what airsoft loadout/s do u have? Weapons, gear etc.
AEG Weapon: TM G36C w/ CA red dot and vertical foregrip
GBB Weapon: KSC Glock 17
Camo: Brit' DPM, Hatch Kneepads, X800 goggles, Arktis Advanced Chestrig.
pic of me.

AEG : Steyr AUG civilian with TGS Aimpoint M2 replica.
GBB : In next weeks, maybe a SIG P2009 or a P2340 Delta Force, all from KSC.
Camo : Central Europ F2, Bolle X500, Elite Webbing with Special Force mag pouch.
More investment will be done to replace the high cap of the aug by a lot of standard magazine. So need one more mag pouch.
I try the DPM camo at Combat South, the vest is amazing, very usefull, but I don't like te color.

What's the TGS Aimpoint Replica like? I my consider ditching my CA one and getting that.
I also wouldn't suggest a SP2340 or SP2009. The only one I would suggest is the SP2009 heavyweight. It's hefty price tag put me off and I went for the glock instead.

The only one I would suggest is the SP2009 heavyweight
I agree with that it's my choice. ;)
What's the TGS Aimpoint Replica like?
Very nice looking. A little bit weak by the material used. Short battery life (~50 hours with 2 LR44). And less luminous than I see on the Walther red cross.
Very accurate, no need to zero it since I set it on my AUG. You can find it in promotion at Dentrinity.
Where are you playing in uk?

I play at Phoenix Airsoft.
U been to Combat South a few times?

Only one time, during my training in England Southampton. Thanks to Stve Banks to provide me a famas for this skirmsih and to sell me my AUG.

I just wanted to say, "Thanks!" to Hood for putting up the sticky 'notice' for this board and finally laying down some ground rules.
I've never really gone for the whole "realistic" loadout and stuff, so I just try to look cool. After all, this is just a really high-tech game of tag, right? ;)

It's a Sig-Sauer P228 springer, made by HFC or whatever. My rifle is a Sig-552. I like Swiss guns, I guess. :)

I'm looking at purchasing a Classic Army M15 sometime or maybe the KSC HK33K when it comes out. As for rig, I'm a firm believer in KISS. Most likely I'll just go with US Woodland cammies/boonie, an ALICE rig, boots, and a camelbak.

Hey Miles, that looks fun...no urban areas here to play paintball or anything, just bush for us.

I don't play airsoft right now, too expensive. But when I finally do, this is what i'd like as a rig:
-Cadpat BDus
-Replica K-Pot with Cadpat cover
-paintball mask
-TT OD chest rig with Cadpat Pouches, or replica Swat modular Tac. Vest for CQB
-OD tac holster
-Pistol belt
-OD or Woodland Camelbak system

Hey Miles, that looks fun...no urban areas here to play paintball or anything, just bush for us.
Our urban aera are very hard to find. Because they are the property of somebody else, not allways complaining with airsoft players :( .
One of uor best map, but just destroy...
http://birdydy.free.fr/rouencamembert.zip Vidéo in this map
We have our bush aera too, but mix with buildings. It's very amazing to make an assault on a building (3 floors) surround by dense forest.

Cool and usefull for me. I take care of the look, and don't overlaod me with big ring with lot a unused pouches. My first priority when buying equipment : Can I crawl and hide with it?

What does the Grenade Launcher attachment fire in airsoft?
Ratamacue
09-07-2003, 08:05 PM
Well, it depends on the company. Some make grenade launchers that hold 1 shotgun shell that holds 30 BB's and fires 3 BB's at a time, using pumping to compress the spring to fire them.
Other companies use shells similar to 40mm rounds that hold around 18-21 BB's, using gas to fire them all at the same time. The shells for these, though, cost mucho denero.

I wear Tigerstripe bdu-skull wrap-boonie and jungle boots with a rhodesian tactical vest, with U.S. smilitary belt with a 2 quart collapseable canteen. It works awesome. Also my airsoft is a 400fps upgraded g3sg1. It has a really good distance because of the barrel length..lil squeaky but nothing a metal body wont fix. Also I am going to buy a scope mount and scope and another high-cap. :)
you can get rid of the squeaking if you use some tape. And HiCaps suck :P ;)

Moe, what G36K kit have u got on your G36C? And have u got a G&P G36 stock on there too?
The custom parts on the gun are the barrel extension, the gas tube extension, and the stock's hinge pin. The foregrip and stock are both genuine HK parts. I ordered everything as a package from http://kope.com/airsoft/customparts.html a few months before the kits started coming out.
And I agree; locaps are the way to go.

I've been looking for SPEAR Army too; But hey I say why SPEAR when you can get a $800 RAV:
http://www.lightfighter.com/item.html?PRID=1284218
And if your an RAV Infidel remembe that the RAV 1)Has more PALS webbing 2)Has a zipper compartment to change our configurations more quickly 3)Has a hidden camelbak pouch within the zipper panel
RAV:
SPEAR Ranger Armor: (SPEAR SF Version cannot be compared; too little PALS webbing) But compare it for yourself here: http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/305_load_bearing/spear_elcs_06.html
As you can see, the RAV is better off being issued instead of their current systems like Interceptor/SPEAR SF/SPEAR Ranger/FSBE etc.

I didnt think that the RAV was armor, ive seen some Rangers using it, but i just thought it was a loadbearing system, where as the SPEARs armor is just armor, usually the LBE is worn over it, and they attatch camelbacks and such on the MALICE slots on the back, but dont really use it on the front, its just convienient that its on there, where as standard Marines and Army grunts will attatch their gear to the slots, usually Special Ops guys dont because they need more room. But if im wrong and the RAV is an armor system as well please correct me.
GearGod
10-12-2003, 10:33 PM
I didnt think that the RAV was armor
Roger. It is armor. You can insert/remove both soft armor and hard ceramic plates just like the INTERCEPTOR (http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/303_protective/interceptor_01.html) or SPEAR (http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/305_load_bearing/spear_elcs_06.html) armors out there. You can even wear it without the soft armor/ceramic plates so you would just have a vest without armor, which is useful for airsofters considering they don't need armor, but just the vest.
More RAV Intel:
http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/303_protective/paraclete_rav_01.html
http://www.lightfighter.com/generic204.html (Notice how many variations there are: rav with armor, rav without armor, rav with pouches, rav without zipper back, etc.)
http://www.paracletearmor.com/pdf/paracletesummer02.pdf
where as standard Marines and Army grunts will attatch their gear to the slots,
Roger That, that's what they do-- However, they "supposed" to be wearing the MOLLEII FLC (http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/305_load_bearing/molle_04.html) over the interceptor armor like this:
"Most of Battalion 3/6 doesn't even wear the vest," said Maj. Timothy Maxwell, a member of the combat assessment team.
"They hate the vest. They attach the canteens and all of the magazine pouches and everything directly to the flak jacket, because the vest is just added weight."
However, the flak jacket is supposed to be worn underneath the vest, not replace it. Using the armor as a load-bearing system has its drawbacks, particularly for marines riding in tightly packed amphibious tracked vehicles or Light Armored Vehicles.
"Now you can't shed the gear and just wear the flak, and that's important when you're crawling around on the inside of an amtrac," Maxwell said.

usually Special Ops guys dont because they need more room
Well it would depend on what armor they have. If your referring to the SPEAR Armor it's up to personal preference they could do it without the SPEAR ELCS (http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/305_load_bearing/spear_elcs_01.html):
Or with the SPEAR ELCS Vest (http://www.special-warfare.net/data_base/305_load_bearing/spear_elcs_01.html):
Personally I think sometimes they may wear the ELCS without the armor on recon missions along with their boonie hats where armor isn't necessary
Also I think its the best armor and the only thing one would need for combat becuase 1)Has the most amount of PALS webbing 2)More advanced than the INTERCEPTOR/SPEAR/FSBE systems

What I think of this "wearing the Ranger etc. insignia"-matter is that it just somehow doesn't seem right. Personally, I would never have the guts to put these sorts of patches/insignias into my BDU's for Airsoft....maybe a WWII reenactment use or some such could be permitted in my part.
I would surely feel bad to wear those things out loud, since you haven't earned them out in the respective way, just decided to "act Ranger" in your fancy gear.
It's just not right towards the "real guys" that have done their absolute best to acquire these rank-insignias. Maybe there should be some sorts of restrictions on whom could you be selling them for in the future...
At least in Finland you can buy these sorts of insignias from regular army surplus stores and so on.

Picture of myself (Pixelated face with Photoshop, I do have a nose :) ) yesterday in Kapellen, Belgium. As I have already stated, I don't spend tons of money on authentic gear, I just keep it fun and simple and wear what I like. As you can see, the typical Belgian rain had been pouring down on me all day.
For those of you who wonder what that weird thing on the flash hider is: it's the mount of a Classic Army QD-silencer, but because it made the gun jam (the foam sometimes kept BB's in the silencer) I screwed it off. Mount is attached via small pin, for which I didn't have a tool with me at the time. (And yes, the safety stickers on the gun will be removed. It was brand new).

I cannot answer how much I paid for the M4 as it sits now in case my wife see this thread and wonders why we didnt get that new dinning set.....
actually all said and done with all the goodies on it, I'd say it is well over $1000 (Canadain).
As far as recommending it over a CA, yes I do! Get a TM, and upgrade it as you see fit.

Hey bigmatty, i'm going to buy this stuff from londonbridge, i'd like to know one thing: it mounts directly on the M60, is it right? I wonder why it's impossible to find on e-bay or military surplus shops a dismissed M60 ammo box, while you can find as many dismissed ammoboxes for M249 as you want... Misteries of military surplus... Maybe M60 ammoboxes are top-secret armaments?

no, see, you have no life because of your lack of maturity
for us, this is a hobby, something we do with our spare time
this all comes after our lives, our job(s), family, friends, signifgant others...
we, or at least many of us 'softers, pay for this out of our disposible income, the money that's left over from our pay checks after rent, bills, nessecities of life, etc.

I have several loadouts, depending on the game conditions. Here are my two favorites:
TM MG36k w/ EoTech Holosite
Upgraded 400fps
1st Factory drum mag
Aftermarket (resin) "K" conversion kit - I am planning on replacing this with the CA forend and a bipod
With this setup I carry a BHI LBE. I normall use this gun for field play.
TM P90 w/RedDot site and Pelican tac-light
Stock except for metal bushings and TN barrel
I have a custom made vest which holds 4 P90 mags and 4 Glock 18 hicaps. I wear this for CQB-style games.
My most commonly used sidearm is a Glock 18 with a metal slide, Garder threaded barrel and TN inner barrel. I carry a standard mag in the gun and 3 hicaps in reserve (Using a BHI .40 Duty SMG pouch).
Plans in the works:
I'd like to replace the LBE with a MOLLE Fighting Load Carrier
I've got a Desert Eagle I want to mount an accessory rail on and convert to full-auto (impractical but fun)
I'd like to get a Fobus stock for the Glock 18.
I'll see about getting some pics up.

nope
there is a battery in the rear stock. So it kinda balances it out. Its still a bit front heavy but not too much.

01-23-2004, 12:43 AM
The majority of the weight is distributed right above the front grip, So along with weight at the back, it is a relativly even gun. A tm "sr16" is actually very much back heavy, While this is to much for my tastes, it is not going to make the gun unusable.

The carbine in my pic above is a Classic Army M15 SPC and not a TM SR16 (small difference but I though I would make the point)
The gun is pretty evenly balanced even with all the attachments. Even so I have recently adapted the set up by relocating the Eotech on the top receiver rail just above the mag well which balances better and brings the holosight closer to my eye increasing the field of view observable through it. I also frequently skirmish with a standard foregrip and not the Surefire pictured.
All in all, I like my set up. It works for me. If it doesn't work for you fair enough: go try something else.

Hmm, that urban camouflage pattern of yours looks alot like this Polish GROM pattern, apparently:
Catch22
02-22-2004, 12:14 AM
Its the coveralls of polish SPAP/SPAT units (Samodzielny Poddodział Antyterrorystyczny Policji - like SWAT police teams). I've never seen GROM using it. Pattern is something like flecktarn but using "urban" colours - general effect resembles that of experimental urban MARPAT. There's only one problem with those police coveralls - they don't have a two-way zipper so you can't take a piss while wearing all that webbing, vests and so... :cantbeli: I've talked to several guys from these AT teams and they complained a lot on this issue :P

Yeah, me neither...
Anyway, the site that I found them from said that they were used by the GROM, but I'm glad that you corrected it.
The site referred to it as a "Urban Flecktarn" pattern, and since me being a fan of it I decided to post it. Not that I would care too much about the various Urban patterns, though.

I decided it was time to buy some new kit, seeing as I was using a black Rhodesian Tactical vest before. It left me looking too dark in some area's, and sometimes made me easier to spot.
I use Tigerstripe Camoflauge becase A: it works and B: its impossible to spot me if im not moving. So this left me with no-options to get a matching assault vest. Which really put my ass on the burner, because if I wanted Tigerstripe vests I'd have to take a vest and "paint" it or just deal with the straight-black or OD.
The solution...
http://www.russiancombatgear.com/product_details/Grad-1_(ANA).php
I found this baby at Russian Combat Gear, and the Kamysh pattern matches my current Tigerstripe fatigues. Couldnt be more happy about it, still waiting for it in the mail though. Takes 1-3 weeks for it to get here, so far its been a week so I guess it hasnt been too bad.
When it arrives I can give a "review" and more info on it. Until then I'm left poor with a picture to stare at for the time being, but resting assured that my gear is on its way.

03-01-2004, 07:44 PM
I find the Wasatch to be an excellent piece of kit. Originally designed to the specifications of SF doorkickers the vest isn't best suited to greenside ops, buut I find it comfortable in both theatres. The mag carrying capabilities of the vest are awesome. Fully loaded up with pouches you can transport an amazing 24 mags. Hard plates can be fitted front and rear. The vest is reasonably adjustable, but xcan take some setting up. Designed for use over body armour the sizing is on the large side. All in all, another excellent piece of kit from Gene. I would recommend it wholeheartedly (please remember that I am a wannabe and have not field tested this kit in any environment other than airsoft skirmishes).

Not exactly a kit list, but along the lines of what works these days;
http://www.pbase.com/image/26487358
Aside from the protec's and Alta's - there's a mix of SDS RACK's, FSBE vests with SDS pouchs, a Wasach, A BHI STRIKE, A BHI Plate Carrier with a SOE Hellcat...and a couple of other vests in there for good measure.
As is the Keiths slogan, with regards to the Wasach - "those who like it, like it a lot..."

A few years ago I went to Gothenburg (Göteborg, you know) to play Airsoft with a few of my friends that brought a few more friends with them. So, I had my M/90's with me and I decided to sew this 4,8 x 3 cm (standard BDU issue) Finnish flag onto to the place of the Swedish flag.
Well, we gathered up with our stuff when the "match" was about to start when these Swedish guys start to eye me like a bunch of crazies. There was actually just two of these completely Swedish guys and two other Swedish-Finnish guys with me there.
Through the match, these two guys treat me like I would have just wiped my ass into the Swedish flag and used their national song's lyrics in a dirty song.
Needless to say, It wasn't exactly a good idea to mix country A's uniform with country B's flag since people might actually have some issue towards it.
Luckily I didn't know Swedish that well to know what the two "pure Swedes" were talking about, but I assume that they weren't too happy about my mixture of uniform and flag.
Come to think of it, it was a pretty dumb stunt to pull off at the time but I thought that I was actually trying to honor the other players that way. Or maybe the "pure Swedes" were just a bit too arrogant over their country's flags and uniforms, go figure...
Berkal any update about the RAV Replica Prototype? And what about your sales board? I'm too stupid to modify the BDUs myself :cantbeli:

I am a UK citizen. As part of the impressions on my website I wear the flag patches of the USA. I do this for authenticity only. I am not, in any way, pretending to be what I am not. I am not a military serviceman, nor have I ever pretended to be. I do not wear rank or service patches for that reason. I hope this goes some way to explain what I do.

the holster is a custom job HSGI dropleg
I love it, doesn't move an inch and keeps the pistol, silencer and mags in its place.
The denali, I can never say enough good things about it.
With all the gear that I have (not all is on the site) the denali i keep going back to over and over.
the bottom zip off portion works great as part of your first line setup as well, if you choose to do that.
Wait till you see the custom back panel that is coming for the Denali. ;)
All in all, i have a tonne or HSGI gear and love every piece.

the wasatch is a really nice piece of gear
I hate to say this but i ended up selling it
as because I don't use body armour, it was a little big for me
and didn't seem to sit right. Now saying all of that, i totally regret selling it
and will most likely buy another one.
Im like a HSGI slut, Gene loves me.
I own alot of his gear now and have more on order
I think all of his gear is built very very solid and recommend everything.
If you like the look of the denali but want a little smaller package, i would recommend looking at a Warlord version 2. Looks almost exactly the same, just a little smaller package.

Guys like Batman are low drag, but guys like Poutine seem to have no issues with the WASATCH because of the extra bomb bay room they have aboard. I tried Rexter's on for fun and thought I was wearing a dress when compared to things like the SDS Rack...
HSGI gear is by far some of the best you'll get out there.

-S.T.R.I.K.E PRC 112 Radio Pouch

If you don't buy it from Adelore, Its mine....so pass on it.
Just joking.
I had one and regret selling it as well
very close to the body and worked well. I ended selling it to a friend who need a smaller rig for his wife. The chest harness is very well made and I have found the STRIKE pouches to be made pretty well as well. the cordura is thicker than alot of the other competitors on the market.
If you decided to buy all of this separate, you would be paying alot more than 290 for it. I would go for it if I was you. If you decide you don't like it, it is a very easy piece to flip on the gear market.

So that's who what went to...
I just got my BHI STRIKE order in from TAG today - i'll post more later but have heard nothing but good stuff about it.
Wlll i think the STRIKE is very nice piece of gear. Designe by Eagle so It ´s really good and quality is better than other BHI stuff.
Well i have one question about wasatch. Has anybody tried to wear it over body armor? I´m afraid it would be too wide when worn over SPEAR body armor with some pockets on.
Any sugestions?

the wasatch is ment to carrier plates and be "armour"
why would you want to wear it over?
