FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NO MNF ORDNANCE DROPPED IN RAMADI FOR MORE THAN A MONTH

CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, Iraq - CNN International erroneously reported yesterday that Multi-National Force aircraft dropped bombs on the Coalition of Iraqi National Unity building in Ramadi.

Multi-National Force aircraft did not drop any ordnance in the city of Ramadi today. Multi-National Force officials in Al Ramadi can confirm that no MNF aircraft have dropped ordnance within the city limits of Ramadi for more than a month.

Anti-Iraqi insurgents have made a concerted effort to place blame on MNF personnel for their recent string of attacks aimed at intimidating innocent civilians.

Multi-National Force Iraq is committed to assisting the interim Iraqi government in stabilizing the country and setting the conditions for a revitalized and prosperous Iraq.

-----------------

Why is CNN International continually reporting doom, gloom, and false reports in Iraq? Are they trying to influence the US elections like CBS News? I mean how hard is it to call Centcom PR officers and ask if they are bombing civilian areas in Ramadi prior to reporting it on the air? Do they have any journalistic training?

Quite simply, they want to make it look like things are worse then they really are there.
