Anyone know anything about the history of these guns (who they were used by, when made, etc). I have one of these I am trying to restore. Thanks.

I know in World War I, bayonets were put on the ends of shotguns for trench fighting.

I've got a book here, "U.S. Infantry Weapons of the First World War" by Bruce Canfield. It is a wonder of information! Sadly, I haven't been able to find anything on the net.
