very nice gear, but one thing, wtf is the gas/smoke canister doing on his back? I had a radio mounted in a very similar place as the canister is, and to access it I had to remove the vest, why not keep it on the front of your vest or even in a cargo poket?

Hmm, I am not sure, but maybe he has it on his back so that the soldier behind him can use the grenade (and he is securing the front), for example when storming a building.

What are those doo-dads?

From what I can tell those are for shotgun shells.

Maybe, but why wouldn't the other guy just carry his own cans?

Maybe because there is no "I" in team??

You're kidding me right? Obvious because it provides quicker tactical access. I'm sure the other guy has his own cans too, but for entrances too. Plus they work as a team, not like counter strike or anything :P

I agree that it makes sense for it to be on his back so the guy behind him can use it. I tmakes even more sense if you assume that he is the lead guy in any assault.

Lots of entry teams do thiswith flashbangs-
check out this airsoft team:

Grom's kit choices are closer to Americans than any other group I've seen. They don't seem as crazed for the gaytastic all-black jumpsuit & P90 or MP7 look as some other nations..

Huh? You got a pic as an example, im lost what you mean by this.

i find it odd how they are the only ones to tie thier guns and have them around thier necks - shot gun in back but also the M7 is tied as well. I don't believe ive ever seen other special forces do that.

Love that airsoft team. It's only so often that an airsoft team gets to play the Ft. Bragg training facilities.
