I've about closed the deal on what handgun I've decided to get, and so have started to close the search on my project ar-15. For a while i was just going to go with a bushmaster lower because they've got history and the military contracts. But then on AR15.com i heard about the company Rock River Arms, I wasn't able to verify on their website if they actually got a government military contract for weapons but I read articles about their succession winning the contract to supply at least 5,000 weapons to the FBI/DEA. Now to be quite honest they are way cheaper than bushmaster or colt. However when i went to the gun store the other day the guy working was trying to discredit RRA asking me if i knew the "ABC's" of AR-15s (Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt etc) He's a bit of a douche bag though anyway (and a dealer for the ABC crew and not RRA,) just wondering if anyone had information on them as well as reviews. I'll check out the ar15.com forums too. As always thanks in advice for any informative input.

SG

edit: change the ar15.com addy

If your going to get a rail system, go for the ARMS SIR. Im sticking with the Surefire M73, due to my budget.

as far as a rail system, you should have no trouble with products for kac, arms, or troy.

personally troys new rail system looks promising.

That being said, RRA is fine. Don't know about their optional trigger. Don't know as I haven't tried it. Instinct says get the standard trigger and upgrade latter if the spirit moves you. Easy upgrade.

Prices haven't really jumped up since a certain date in mid September. Which I won't mention because it always seems to start a fecal weather event.
