Are these helmets still used in combat or just training?

Is it a one-size-fits-all or does it come in a different sizes?

F-1 Helmets are used by firefighters. A modern version of course.

I was asking about this F1 helmet:

The F1 are only used in training and it has been so for about 10 years now; the "Spectra" helmet is issued for ops deployments.

It's one size fits all with internal adjustments and there are several sorts of chinstraps (velcro, studs, studs and velcro...)

I think it is more apropriate to say that spectra helmets are only used in abroad operation.

Would paratroopers e.g. 2eme REP jump with the spectra helmets on deployments?

Yes they would, if combat or a dangerous situation is expected.

The way it works, either the supply corps delivers the Flack jackets, Spectra helmets and area-specific items (mosquito nets for example) at the airport of disembarkation (APOD) when you go on an Op or you get it from the unit you take over from in places like Bosnia or Kosovo.

New stocks are regularly brought in to replace the damaged equipment and the inside of the helmet can be changed for hygyiene purposes.
