Danner Striker shoes ?

I have Meindl Army Pro GTX shoes. Very exellent boots, but little heavyweight everyday working (driving a car, etc.)

Do you know anything about Danner Striker GTX shoes. Have you it? I try to think, who is best. Danner (usa), Haix (germany) or Hi-Tech Magnum (elite).

I´ve used my Striker "8 GTX for about one year now (Law Enforcement - DEA work) and I like them, they are ok shoes. But before I used Magnum Elite forces II shoes. I found them much better then the Striker. The Magnum shoes were lighter and more comfortable. In my opinion more professional shoes. Next time I´m gonna buy Magnum again.

I like Meindl Army Pro shoes, but it`s little bit heawy model everyday use, like driving patrol car, sitting command center, etc. MP job.

Do you mean ICEMAN these boots. In my country about 160 €.

This is probably newest model from Magnum, looks cool. Mine were older version. I bought them in the year 2000. Don´t remember how much they cost, definitely not sheap. But good shoes to protect your feet.

For the environment that you described, my vote goes for Haix Airpower. Your feet will love you for them, no sore feet after a long days work. Bit pricey they are I'll admit. And I've seen many negative reviews of the Danner Strikers. That would not be on my list.

Just don't buy your shoes without trying.

Allthough Danners in general are of highest quality, those Strikers have been somewhat controversial as to their quality. If you really want Danners you should go try Danner Acadias.

I think, that my Meindl are the one of best combat boot (heavy, but comfortable, great walk, better than Acadia). But I need lighter. Internet have lots of boots, but it not so easy buy internet or other country. In my country is easy get Danner, Haix, Meindl, Lowa and Magnum.
