It does, thanks.

Also, does it refer to the internal liner only, or do you think/know it's also the external size? Looking at several pics, I had a feeling it might be the latter.

I belive i refers to the whole helmet, since you get camo covers in different sizes for these helmets

Mine was always too goddamn small, that's all I know. Always friggin' hurts your head so damned much.

the letter is the size and the number is for the year/batch of manufacture. Coded so the number does not correlate, ie 8 is not 1998.

The Mk6 comes in small, medium, large and outsize. Outsize being very rare, I cannot find one for my melon.

****, they come in different sizes?
The supply pogue always told me it was one size fits all. :cantbeli:

In reality there are only 2 sizes, "too big" and "too small".

I think the PASGT also come in a very rare extra large version. The first was made for Schwarzkopf.

I am currenlty looking for a "fritz" in small size.

I've tried the medium, and it "looks" to big on me.
Look like a mushroom.

Any of you know of a good source to get one, overseas?

I think you are wrong with the numbers. The numbers are symboling the deepth of the helmet.

For example :

http://cgi.ebay.com/US-Army-Helmet-PASGT-M-9-Kevlar_W0QQitemZ290228342381QQihZ019QQcategoryZ36068QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
A M(edium)-9 size helmet,

And a L(arge)-15 size helmet

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pasgt-Helmet-Size-15-Large_W0QQitemZ110250413239QQihZ001QQcategoryZ36068QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Do you see the diffrence?

Best Regards
Szarak

Ps.
BTW i should wear a XS helmet, but i have a Small one and its good for me too.

The only part of the code that denotes the size of the lid is the letter. The number is simply the mold that was used to make the helmet. If defects were found in a helmet the others within the same mold number would also be checked, the mold could then be repaired or replaced.

The depth of the helmet is made up by how much you adjust the suspension on the inside of it.

And all of the K-pots I have ever worn gave me a spliting headache within a couple of hours.
