"don't stand behind the Panzerfaust if you dont want it to ruin your hair"
That's the first thing the German bundeswehr told me when they let me try out the heavy Panzerfaust ^^
i'd say they're right ^^ - it can ruin not only your hair but your day as well XD

I read something about the Carl Gustav launcher, it said if you fired it in ****e position with the barrel down your body, it would rip your legs off... ;)

iraq iran war?
Looks like it.
there were numerous reports from Somalia about these kinds of things happening. Many of the Somali's modified thier launchers to allow them to be pointed nearly straight up and fired to down US helocopters.......also modified the fuses for airburst.
Unfortunately for them, some the the Somali's with less training apparently tried to aim un-modified RPG launchers straight up at US helocpters and the backblast ended up nearly blowing thier legs off..........There were reports in hospital/clinics in Mogadishu of Somalis with amputated legs from this.........
Lesson: The RPG backblast is very very strong. Try to keep that in mind when firing it........dont go shooting it up at the sky and blow your leg off at the knee..............
just a random thought, but the discussion made me think of the movie "True Lies" where that guy got blown out the front of a van and then run over by the Stingers backblast.........hahaha.......ah man, what a great movie.......and who would have ever thought whats her name was so damn hot.........that had to be the best strip scene in the history of cinema..............

The expression is magnificant, really as if he didnt know what had happened at all, and that he was al good to go .
I am surprised nobody actually seems to be terrbily interested in the fact the guy had just been blown away.
Or maybe it was just bad communication,
" hey mustafa get the anti-infidel rpg ready, Ill cover you, then Ill duck away you get up and fire the rpg. But remember only do it when I say so"
And thats the part his buddy missed.

Its simple, the helmets uniforms and especially the gear looks like that of Iraqi soldiers, try to find Iranian soldiers with a similar gear and you have the point.
It could also be Iranian with similar uniforms and helmets but without nothing more known they look like Iraqi soldiers without doubt.
I'm no "Farsi" and I only post on threads which are interesting for me and if you think everything I say is to make Iran looks great you dont understand something.

There was a series of articles in SoF about one Cavalry crew in Iraq. The name of the series was Chariots of Fire (nearly certainly). The Bradley commander said that he saw an incident like that. A bunch of Iraqis in a truck and one of them fired and RPG. The guy behind him was blown out of the truck on fire. The commander noted - One of the funniest things I've ever seen. Of course, the rest of the Iraqis died almost instantly thereafter.

How about that, it would be a iraqi propaganda video, they drive to the battlefront chose a group and tell them to "shoot and fight" like in real war. While doing so the AK would not expect the RPG to fire an expensive RPG-7 round, but the idiot in front do it.

No communication btw the soilders! The one firing shouldve checked back, didnt, moron! The one behind shouldve known that he was going to fire, dead moron.
But during a fight, thats so close that you can fire GRENADES at each other its very easy to be stressed and not understanding the order and whats going to happen. Especially with all the shooting and mud its very hard to understand anything.
But still its the guys whos firings fault.
You dont see if theyre iraqis or iranis.

We were trained to be two when firing AT-4īs, one of them checks behind and shouts
"Clear" and the gunner shouts "Firing" and pulls the trigger. Of course the gunner
can check if itīs clear behind him himself, but thatīs not the optimal solution because
he looses aim and valuable seconds aiming again (if itīs a ambush for example). Like
when firing Carl-Gustav, but then itīs the loader that checks behind him of course.
This RPG-7 gunner probably got stressed as hell, i guess the enemy was near since
one soldiers throws a handgrenade (perhaps it was smoke?), but it was still stupid
of him to kill one of his comrades and bust the eardrums of his loader (the boy that
in pain crawls on the ground afterwards).

I noticed that fellow too, he looks like he's in pain no doubt. I first thought that maybe the soldier behind the rpg accidentally fired his rifle on him. The violent backward movement could have made him fire a short burst if he had his finger on the trigger.

Since the back-blast hit that soldiers body from a close range, it probably reflected onto the trench/that poor loaders face, so he was probably hurt by debris/dirt, or atleast got himself a busted left eardrum..
Notice how the soldier closest to the camera quickly takes cover, while the once in front of the shooter continues fighting - I bet it got really loud standing next to it..
