Cant remember the name, but i think it was Michail Kalashnikov that was apart of that project, its a MG for tank crewmen for enemies that has come too close for the coax to hit them.

It's the Experimental SGMT.

I don't think it's the one you are thinking of Harpago, which was designed by Makarov-Kurenkov based on the AK-47/7.62x39 combination.

it it the SGMT "Guronov" (unsure about spelling) commisioned in 1962 according to the kalashnikov page.

KSGM Goriunov machine gun with curved barrel, developed for use in small bunkers (crew: 2 men, gunner and loader). Used with periscopic sight PPKS-3 (x4, 18o), bunker with anti-chemical protection.
