yup, its dead on with the black kbar tanto although now they use a black coating n the kbar's, i liked it better when they burnt the blades black though it really doesnt make a diff i guess. i kinda dig the kbar warthog since its "barely" legal to wear in public here. always fun to see someones expression when you pull out the warthog and cut a box or tape open for them. ive even had a policeman in the mall question me over it when waiting in line for a movie (scorpion king, gawd that sucked). he saw the bottom of the sheath and chatted it up with me and was really cool about it.

I have 2 tanto style knives...a Cold Steel Recon 1 and a Voyager...but I lost it biking. :(

But isnt the Kbar rounded at the end? Where the german one is straight...thats kinda why i like it.

No, KA-BAR makes a Tanto knife that is virtually the same as that. The normal KA-BAR that was issued to the USMC and such does have a normal knife blade.
