Well I had a performance today with my folk dancing club. We did pretty well, except for a couple minor mistakes. Here are the pics:

This is the younger group 14-16, singing and dancing...

This is my group, we break out with a song; where we insult the local village women and tell the audience and the girls that we won't get married to them because they can't dance...hahaha we're Polish...what do you expect ;)

We do some fancy stuff while singing, as we are showing off to the girls ;)

After we form a line, we join hands and we do the those Kossack kicks...obviously not standing up

Then we stomp our way through the hall...waving our arms...

I'm singing to all the people at the tables at how bad the girls are, they can't sing and not only that but they borrow each other's clothes... :lol:

We're doing this windmill patter thing. We go in, then we come out...

The guys do this kicking thing in a circle, while the girls twirl and look pretty...

Now the leader of the chlopi (men) dances a fast polka with the leader of the baby (girls)

its always a good time, even when you screw up you can always laugh after, or you can make fun of that really tall nerd (he's been dancing in the club for longer then most of us, 4 or 5 years) who can't dance... rofl

Go for it, it's a guaranteed good time as long as people are not totally crazy about it. We had this miss perfect who thought she was a ballet princess...and she made up her own "graceful" moves to dances...and then the instructor got pissed off at her and told her to stop ****ing doing that...she never showed again... rofl

mind you, she pointed out everyones mistakes and she always made fun of my height...even though i was a pretty damn good dancer at the time i was dancing with her...experience wise in the short amount of time i was in the club...

Go for it, it's a guaranteed good time as long as people are not totally crazy about it. Hey howdy hey!


Great stuff! I did dance and gymnastics when I was younger and it really helped in other sports etc. My girlfriend in college was into ballet and dance so I was in dance troop with her. You never know when it will come in handy.

We do alot of drama and dance etc in our church.

yeah Im 5'7 too , but as they say " Its not the big tall dude you have to watch out for , its the short guy with the crazy eyes " :D
