U.S LT Corbin Sawyer, of the 3rd Battalion 124th Infantry Regiment of the Florida Army National Guard plays ping pong with Iraqi children at the al-Maghrib Community Centerin Baghdad Thursday Sept. 18, 2003. Until the April 9 ouster of Saddam Hussein, the center was a sleazy night spot frequented mainly by men. In May, the 3rd Battalion, 124th Regiment of the Florida National Guard heeded the call of local residents and began transforming the place into a community center. Amid rising American casualties and Iraqi discontent, authorities in charge of the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq are studying several measures to ease the burden on ordinary citizens, including shortening the curfew in Baghdad and withdrawing U.S. troops from selected cities. Nice pics.

You saw the pictures of the kids with the tanks rumbbling on the streets and I don't understand - what the heck they're doing there and who's the neglecting parent who let them run like this in a battle zone? They can easily get themseves killed if a shootout burst suddenly or a gunmen is hiding behind them. Why they stone the tanks? The doesn't hurt or been damaged from them. Why are they looking for troubles? Because dead kid is a good photo-op in CNN?

Hmmmm... fighting terror?

Do you know that 2 days ago an IDF tank destroyed a 4X4 vehicle full with explosives in Jenin? That vehicle was a car-bomb supposed to be sent to an urban center and slaughter dozens. It was a "mega terror" attack that was thwart by the IDF tanks.

i fail to see what makes me biased....i have an opinion which has been formed after research and life experience, i'm not biased.

ArmoredDov_D9 and the others are Israeli.....therfore biased.

plus i have not taken a side...how can i be biased? i merely pointed out that there are two sides to this conflict, something which a lot of people here have trouble recognising.

Here's an idea.

Instead of banging with the same old theme, ie Palistinians are bad/terrorists/to blame, Israelis are good/peace loving/not to blame. Why don't you try posting a more balanced view?.

Or are you saying Israel has done nothing whatsoever to engender the feelings of hatred that the majority of Palistinians hold for it.

And before the flaming begins.........

The killing of civilians disgusts me no matter who the victims are, or what the supposed 'justification(s)' is.

I am not anti-Semetic nor anti-Islamic. But I am getting sick of people banging on pedanticly with a wholely one sided view of how THEY'VE been wronged and the OTHER side is ALL to blame.

Aw yeah, that go's for the people whining about OIF pros and cons as well. Try walking a mile in another mans shoes before you start shooting from the hip/lip.

Just give me a sec while I don my Nomex undies.........

Those tanks are after your friends who try to kill Jews, and as a Jewish army the IDF is trying to prevent that - go figure!

I guess you didn't know that when Arafat canceled the peace agreement and started this war 99% of Palestinian citizens were governed by the PA?
(which means they didn't have IDF tank in their streets at all)

But we know your point of view is not based on facts, so I guess you don't REALLY care...
