US government has recently requested our government to contribute more troops for peacekeeping......So we might be sending more force, about the size between a battalion and a division. This time we're sending combat troops to Iraq. Our lawmakers are pretty shaky about the possible dispatch. They're caught in a dilemma: the local population is against sending troops to an insecure region, and if the troops aren't deployed, the US would take out the 2nd Infantry Division for troop rotation.

However, more than half of the Koreans are agreeing on sending troops if a UN resolution approving multinational peacekeeping force is passed, so the government is looking towards all the events happening inside the UN headquarters.

Either that or we take some American troops out of Korea and send them to Iraq. I mean, we have a couple US Army divisions in S Korea right now.

That's why our ****ed up politicians are rushing to send our troops to Iraq.

Maybe I should post some peacekeeper photos from East Timor next time....

To my knowledge....it's just one. The 2nd Inf. Div. ;)

The active US army only has 10 divisions these days. :(
